  1. Yes after I posted I found one I liked on Amazon but couldn't figure out how to delete my post.
  2. I am looking for a multi-phone charging dock, something that can charge at least 5 devices and stack them vertically. Ideally with its own power supply and USB Type A ports and then I can use my own short cables. I've seen something on Linus' desk that is white with pink cables but can't seem to find it online. I need to for work as I am constantly charging phones and tables while working on them.
  3. The cable I have is I believe a HDMI 2.0 cable. Its an Amazon Basics model but it says it does 4K at 60 Hz and is "The Latest Standard" but doesn't explicitly say HDMI 2.0 anywhere I can find. https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-High-Speed-HDMI-Cable-1-Pack/dp/B014I8T8FC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1510060175&sr=8-1&keywords=15+ft+hdmi+amazon+basics I bought a few of these from Amazon and the option for 60hz isn't available. I am going to buy another HDMI cable from another vendor.
  4. Its an Asus X399 with no onboard video.
  5. I currently am running 4 monitors with a 1080 SLI setup. The issue I am running into is that my graphics cards only have 3 displayport outputs but I need one for each of my four monitors. I have attempted to use the one of the displayports on the second GPU but when doing that will require me to disable SLI. I can run one of my monitors off HDMI but I am only able to get 30 fps on that monitor since its a 4K monitor. Not the end of the world but I find it annoying. I only game on my main monitor which is a Acer Predator X34 but I use all 4 when I am working. I would prefer to not have to disable and enable my SLI setup every time I need to switch between gaming and work. Should I run a third graphics card to run my non-gaming monitors? I have a spare 980 TI sitting around. Any Ideas?
  6. I recently upgraded my system to a Threadripper 1950x and I am looking for case suggestions. I am trying to fit the motherboard, an AIO cooler, and two Hybrid graphics cards. My current case is an unknown Fractal Designs, I think its an older version of the R5 that I bought almost 8 years ago. I cut the drive cages out of it so I could mount the graphics cards radiators but its a real hack job. I am looking at something with tempered glass. I was interested in the Phanteks Enthoo Elite until I saw how expensive it is. I am not really interested in a custom loop. I like the ease of use of AIOs. I have included some shots of my mess. Luckily this case has no windows so its all hidden. This case also has no provisions to even mount radiators so I had to improvise.
  7. They could be hosting the local speedtest server as well which would increase the speeds.
  8. I installed a M.2 to PCIe adapter and while the performance did improve not the faster performance that others are seeing. Also a few oddities. I verified its installed in a PCIe 3.0 slot and manually set that slot to PCIe Gen 3. 1. Most of my writes are faster than my reads. 2. 4K Q32 nosedived compared to using my onboard M.2 slot. Any ideas?
  9. Thanks for the info. Any particular M.2 to PCIE adapter card you guys recommend?
  10. So I recently decided to build myself a new gaming PC. Got busy with life and haven't replaced my hardware in about 3 years. My setup: i7-4790K 32 GB Corsair Vengeance Pro Series DDR3-1866 ASUS Z97-A Samsung 950 PRO 512GB EVGA GTX670 4GB(left over from my last gaming rig, will be replacing soon) Windows 10 64 bit I installed the OS from a fresh install on the SSD. I ran CrystalDiskMark but the performance on one of the sequential tests doesn't seem to be much better than my laptop which is a run of the mill Lenovo with a nothing special SSD. I picked the components as I tried to mirror the testing setup on anandtech.com. Should I try a different motherboard, settings to change, maybe a bad SSD? The higher numbers are from the desktop.
