  1. Hello, My pc (r5 2600, b450 prime, 16gb lpx, rx480) is no longer booting. I haven't changed anything in months, and it was working fine last night, but now wont turn on. Mobo leds are on, indicating it has power not a vga issue, as fans wont spin up, keyboard wont light up, etc have tried unplugging and replugging all power connectors tried turning on by shorting pins pc is on a surge protector, and other devices are running fine off it any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
  2. Hey just tagging you because you said to lol. I am going to pick up his cpu and motherboard tonight to hopefully be able to boot back into Windows on the original hardware and pray that that works. Assuming that it does, what would be my best bet when I do that? Other than just installing drivers for the new hardware, is there anything else I should do to make the transition better? And if that still doesn't work is there any good way to make a backup, reinstall Windows and then restore? I don't really have much experience with this stuff since it's always just kinda worked for me. Any thoughts are greatly greatly appreciated :-)
  3. I tried booting from my windows 10 install pendrive, and it was able to detect a Windows install and gave me the option to upgrade, I just didn't want to risk it until hearing from some others who have had success with this
  4. It is Windows 10 Pro. My system worked flawlessly, as this Windows ssd has been through 4 different systems no prob, but for some reason my buddy was the unlucky one. Is there any good way that I could reinstall Windows but keep his data? I don't have any spare drives I could clone his to unfortunately. I have the Windows key linked to his Microsoft account so that's okay. The only issue is losing all of his stuff. If I use the Windows 10 media to "upgrade" his system, will that work? I'm jut scared I'm gonna lose all his stuff and that would be really bad. Thanks for the replies
  5. Hello, Today I just sold my old CPU, Motherboard, and GPU to a friend. It is a Xeon X3570, AsusP7P55-E, and R7 260x. The system ran great for over a year for me and I loved it. We overclocked it and did some testing while in my case, then transfered it into his case. And when we did that, booting off his HDD it got into the BIOS fine, but when the system tried to boot windows, I was left with a blinking cursor. After a few hours of basic troubleshooting I brought the system back home with me and put my ssd back in it, and windows booted right up! I'm actually on it right now. Other than reinstalling Windows on his hard drive, do any of you have any idea what might be causing this issue and how to fix it? His Hard Drive was previously installed in his old system and worked fine. And after booting on my SSD, I can view the HDD as a second device and everything looks fine. I know the easy answer is to reinstall Windows but that is really not an option. Any Insight would be much appreciated. Thanks!
  6. Hello! So, I have no idea what happened, but somehow today I cracked the home button on my iphone 6s. The home button still works fine, but touch id doesn't. Not having touch id doesn't bother me too much (although it is nice), however a shattered home button really irritates me. I am fairly comfortable repairing electronics, so this is more of an error 53 question. I have LED logo modded my iphone, so I no longer am able to send my phone to apple to re-activate it after I install a new home button, so I'm not really sure what my options are. Does anyone know of a 3rd party company that would be willing to help me (with a modded iphone) to verify the repair (or even do it if they have a way to verify it)? I could always try to undo the mod, but once someone opens the phone they will know something is different. Also, anyone know what this might cost? Anything you have to say is extremely helpful and appreciated. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. -Calvin Edit: So It's looking like I'm going to install a new home button myself, and not restore any of the touch-id features. I'm okay with that. My question now is that I am currently on ios 9.2 (still holding out for a jailbreak). Do I need to be on ios 9.3 before the repair to make sure I don't brick my phone? Or am I safe to do it now? Thanks for the help
  7. Right now im rocking a r7 260x, which is actually fairly decent on my 720p tv, but I'm about to get a new bedroom and I am planning on building a new rig (with the release of Zen), and going to be picking up a 1440p monitor. I was extremely impressed at how well the RX 480 performs for the price, and would be excited to get my hands on one of the new cards!
  8. I'm just getting to build a new bedroom in my basement and am looking for a new display. Since I have the option to leave a wall untextured, I really want to get a projector, but I just can't justify the price, so this is a perfect opportunity. Best of luck to all of the rest of you!
  9. How would a machine like this perform in tasks relating to Graphic Design or Video Editing?
