    Randomly no POST/BIOS

Hi, So I've built this pc in July 2016, never had any problems or issues with it. Two days ago, upon trying to start my PC, I've noticed that nothing was happening. After 20-30 seconds PC booted up with no BIOS. Fans were spinning, mobo lights were on but no image. I tried updating my BIOS, removing the CMOS battery/clearing CMOS, unplugging PC from the wall outlet as well as switching the PSU off and holding the power button for 10 seconds but the problem still is recurring. I found that turning the power supply switch off and on and quickly turning the PC on works but I don't know what could be the problem. Right now I'm able to use my PC only if I use this method else it won't pass BIOS/POST. Things have recently changed: upgrade from SAMSUNG 850 EVO 2.5" 250GB to Samsung 860 EVO 2.5" SATA III 500GB BUILD: CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 8M Skylake Quad-Core 4.0 GHz GPU: ASUS GeForce GTX 1080 STRIX-GTX1080-8G-GAMING RAM: HyperX Fury 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 2400MHz DRAM MOBO: ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO LGA 115 PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 220-G2-0750-XR

    Need help with new build

Would a M.2 be a better option instead of going for regular SSD?
  4. 1. Budget & Location 2200 $CAD 2. Aim I do a lot of gaming, a lot of Photoshop, AutoCAD and other 3D programs for my architecture program in school. I do a lot of multi-tasking. 3. Monitors Two monitors at 1080p, will eventually upgrade whenever the time comes probably. 4. Peripherals I do not need windows, mouse, keyboard or any other peripherals. 5. Why are you upgrading? Because I don't have a desktop. Here's what I came up with so far, need help if there should be changes to this list. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/xQKrGG
  5. 1. Budget & Location 1200 MAX $USD 2. Aim I want to be able to do streaming and play games such as BF1, CS:GO, WWII and be able to do Photoshop and render videos. I don't want to overclock. 3. Monitors I own 2 1080p 60hz monitor. Maybe eventually will upgrade to 1440 or 4k IDK yet. 4. Peripherals I only need the computer nothing more. Already have the monitors, mouse, OS, keyboard, optical drive etc. I only need the PC parts. 5. Why are you upgrading? This is my first PC build.

    New build

    1. Budget & Location Canada ($CAD) - Less then 2500$ 2. Aim Gaming (CPU intensive games such as ARMA III), recording, hosting servers with friends, rendering. 3. Monitors 2x 1920x1080 4. Peripherals I don't need : OS/Keyboard/Mouse/Monitors/Case/Disc drive 5. Why are you upgrading? I'm given my PC to my brother so I need a new one. (** : I was thinking of getting a GTX 980 TI, Intel Core i7-4790K or Intel Core i7-6700K because IDK if DDR4 is worth it, at least 16gb of ram, 1tb HDD WD black + a SSD (around 200gb I'd say), I want air cpu cooler,I'm going with the define r5 for the case )
  15. 1. Budget & Location Around 2000$CAD (Can go up or down). 2. Aim Gaming, hosting servers with friends, play intensive CPU game like ARMA 3, a lot of multitasking, streaming/recording etc. 3. Monitors I have two monitors at 1920x1080. 4. Peripherals I only need a computer build nothing else. 5. Why are you upgrading? I gave my old computer to my little brother. # There's so much stuff out there it's really hard to find the right parts for a new build. I was thinking of buying the 980 TI with a i7-4790k or maybe a i7-6900k depending if DDR4 is really worth it.
