  1. An update, i just tried to remove everything that is connected, reset the CMOS battery again, and suddenly everything goes well.
  2. Im using DVI and it seems that the problem doesnt lie with the cord nor the monitor
  3. Hey, thank you so much for the quick reply. I did not have time during the weekdays to troubleshoot so here I am. Anyway it seems that removing the CMOS batt did the trick in having the system running, however there's no display. I tried to remove individual rams and with different slots but it seems that the problem still persist.
  4. Hi as per thread title, my computer is unable to boot the next morning. I've been using this build for only 4 months. Anyone could give me a helping hand? Mobo : Gigabyte B150M d3h Ram : Avexir 2 x4 GB CPU : i5-6400 PSU : Seasonic M12 II 620W Removed my graphics card out of the equation and the problem still persist.
  5. That stealth would blend in with my lil bro down there! Handy dandy~
  6. Yea. Concluded this that I'm getting LGA1151 with ddr4 rams. I've purchased Avexir Core series 2400mhz CL16 2x4gb. I'm getting the GA-B150m-D3H with it! Thanks alot for the input guys. And yea, as Droidbot mentioned, it does not benefit me in FPS for gaming. Hopefully an update will actually utilize the rams beneficially for gaming FPS in the future! :):)
  7. More so worrying about damaging in pin due to its voltage. I think the best option now for me as some people have suggested is just to upgrade to the new ddr4 and sell away my ddr3.
  8. Alright, now I get a better idea about the rams. Been DIY comps for 7 years now never had an idea to even OC rams as the benefits are marginal. Nah, from the start my statements were never bend to either MSI or Gigabyte. I do not know where how you'd get the idea of my preference of MSI.
  9. That's quite misleading to even state "DDR3 / DDR3L" at the first place. so in which to say, LGA1151 MOBO only supports DDR3L and not DDR3?
  10. Yea, aware of that. That's why I'm hesitant. However, the gigabyte mobo stated that it supports ddr3/L. Would it be safe to reuse back the rams?
  11. And just for your clarification purposes, DDR3L is a dual voltage capable memory SoDIMM, which supports operation at both 1.5V and 1.35V. DDR3L is also pin-compatible with DDR3. DDR3 is a single voltage capable memory SoDIMM, which supports 1.5V operation only.
  12. As I've stated, I do own a ddr3 rams, therefore there's no intention of buying more rams. If I do not own any rams, definitely it would be a wiser choice getting a skylake motherboards with ddr4 rams support and buy ddr4 rams. However to justify my statement from the start, I would prefer to save cost with the ddr3 rams I have.
  13. I wouldnt be doing any crossfire or SLI in the future. I am not concerned about their display outputs for their mobo as I'm already using a graphics card. If my ddr3 rams are already clocked at 1866, does it mean that I do not need to OC them?
  14. Hi guys, thanks for taking the time to have a look at this thread. Recently my 6 years old DIY mobo and processor passed away. I plan to build a new gaming desktop with a b150m mobo(do not plan to overclock, prefer matx). However after reading up I realized there are some inputs that claims that the skylake motherboards does not have support for ddr3 rams but ddr3l. I own a crucial ballistic tactical tracer 4gb x 2 @ 1866mhz 1.5v. I have 2 option in mind. https://www.msi.com/product/motherboard/B150M-BAZOOKA-D3.html#hero-overview Or http://www.gigabyte.sg/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5516#ov Would appreciate inputs on this. On the side note, I have purchased a ZOTAC Gtx 970 amp! Omega and a Samsung Evo 850 250gb
  15. Hey, sorry for not following up asap. My new graphics card came in and everything is running smoothly now. Great that my problem is retified
