  1. Have a look at the ThermalTake Poseidon series. Both Cherry and Kailh switches are available. Solid black plastic construction and backlit. I believe there is a 5 year warranty on the ones with Kailh switches since there is one on mine. Linus' review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7AsqoYHR_Y
  2. I saw that one as well. It looked a bit bulkier but it had some pretty neat features like the sliding volume control. The mic was probably better because you could pull it out and have it sit near the corner of your mouth.
  3. I was actually considering getting one of those in the past few days. Decent value for what you get in terms of build quality and also wireless! I decided against it when I heard an audio sample from the mic. It sounds very digitised and a little distant for my preferences.
  4. How about the ones with the band that rests around the back of the neck?
  5. Two simple suggestions which came to mind: 1. Make sure all of the connections are secure and the audio jack/s are all the way in the socket. I had things where the connectors appear to have been inserted all the way but actually haven't - resulting in a poor connection and bad audio. 2. Give the headphones a go on another device such as a smartphone or computer if possible. This should help to narrow down whether the TV or the headphones are faulty.
  6. You mentioned that she has bought wireless headphones before and it has happened with those as well. I'm thinking that there might be something wrong with the device she's using it with. Are you able to get us more information on the headphones and the device/s she's using them with?
  7. If the heat gets uncomfortable to the touch you can try a cooling pad to help with the circulation. They should cost around $20 or less. Another idea which might help is to stack the laptop on top of two equally thick books or blocks with a gap underneath to give the heat more room to disperse. Edit: Currency is in AUD.
  8. +1 If you haven't already I would suggest you try a different mouse if available to try and narrow the issue down. I can understand your frustration. Let us know how the other suggestions went.
  9. The way you're putting it, it seems like any mouse would be an upgrade to your current one You mentioned that you prefer a wireless mouse. I don't have any significant knowledge in that area but I do follow wired mice. An upside is there are many cheap ones around and somewhat more shapes and specs to choose from. I'm currently using an old Microsoft Comfort 3000. The build is a bit sturdier compared to your sub $20 mouse. However, I much prefer a one handed design as opposed to an ambidextrous one. I've tried ergonomic mice with ring finger and pinky rests which are really comfy. One I'm interested in is the Mionix NAOS because of its finger rests and the softouch coating - personally, the lighting is a bonus. http://www.amazon.com/MIONIX-Multi-Color-Ergonomic-Laser-Gaming/dp/B00ANIRU7U There are 3 models - mostly the same except for the sensors and the presence of the DPI indicator on the 8200. Linus' unboxing/review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvlExWJmbGA HardwareCanucks' review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BvxmLmV9TM Of course there are many others and I hope this helps to expand your search for a new mouse!
  10. Yo LMG, been a huge fan of your channels and twitter I like the metal band on the Aria headset. Looks shiny and very sturdy. Also, the embossed Feenix emblem is a real stunner.
