  1. Try the Magicforce 68? Lots of different switches for different prices, like 40$ USD for Outemu switches, 60$ for Gateron, and 70$ for Cherry. Also it's small so that might be more optimal for you if you are limited on desk space.
  2. So currently I'm thinking about buying the 49.99 keyboard with reds, since I like the overall keyboard more, I'll return it if the reds don't work out. What type of o-ring would you recommend to go with reds to make them bottom out less? And how do o-rings actually work in that regard?
  3. Travel reduction as in o-rings?
  4. Believe me, I've done my research which showed that browns would probably best. The question is whether it's worth the extra cost. How much of actual tactile feedback is there and how noticeable is it? The only thing I've heard is that some people don't find the browns to be very different from the reds, with only a little feedback.
  5. Hello all forum users, I've been looking into mechanical keyboards recently and noticed some deals on Black Friday. I've likely narrowed my list down to these two: Corsair Strafe Cherry MX Brown and Corsair Vengeance K65 Compact Cherry MX Red Now the K65 is currently 49.99 vs 69.99, and I prefer the aesthetics of the K65 tbh. Would the Reds be bad for my usage, as someone who does both gaming and homework, and would the Browns be enough to make up the price difference? What are your opinions of Reds for general use including gaming?
  6. Actually, yes - Shell Shock Live (2). I remember playing that.
  7. I love the R1 Ultimate, at least its appearance, but I have an ITX computer that has no way of fitting it. I like it, but don't know how it compares to the NH-D15 in cooling.
  8. I agree - I was fascinated by the Define C and probably would have done that if I hadn't already done a wonderful Node 202 build. I'm not sure where it is on sale since even PcPP doesn't have it in accurately, but I would assume it will be available soon. The biggest air cooler in there is 170mm, meaning you could fit a NH-D15 if you want.
  9. Something like this maybe: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i7-4930K 3.4GHz 6-Core Processor (Purchased For $0.00) CPU Cooler: be quiet! 10. Here's my recommendation to be honest. You could get some custom watercooling for that price. Or, you could go with a safe option and replace the case and go with either air cooling or an AIO. If you're looking for compact (which is why you modded a mATX case I assume) you could look into the Fractal Design Define C. You could fit an EK Predator X360 I believe, or something like the Dark Rock Pro. Either option would leave you with extra money to upgrade parts, maybe even add another 1070 if you went with air cooling.
  11. My friend is lucky - he's getting dual citizenship today since one of his parents was born in his Vancouver. The good thing is that I'll be mostly safe in uni if Trump does anything notably stupid.
  12. Right... I just realized that that's a Canadian site. My bad - I should get used to this currency given that Trump just got elected.
  13. No, because for $2000 you could just grab an EK Predator and blocks for those cards and just do a semi-custom loop that would look a lot better.
  14. I put a build together for you with most of the parts you chose. You will be better off with the i7-6700k and a slightly weaker CPU cooler. Also, EVGA makes a different version of the same GPU - like literally, the only difference is a slight change in the shroud from what I can see - which is a bit less expensive. And if you don't mind black RAM instead of white RAM, you can cut down the price a little. 15. May I ask why you wouldn't trust them? I am looking into buying this keyboard but if I can't trust the MIR I won't bother.
