  1. I'll suggest you read more on history and seeing more perspective before saying stuff like that. Plus, I'm truly saddened by the naive but geniuses university students that died on that day, fighting for a cause they believe to be right but only to be used by some that betrayed them (those who stirred the whole incident up) to escape China safely and got paid handsomely by foreign countries. If the ones that escaped truly believe in the democracy they fought for, they would stay behind with their brethren and not live the coward life they are right now.
  2. Most of the populace doesn't support it and it's just a wild idea that's been thrown around as an excuse by the minority that dislikes the PRC.
  3. Colorful has just announced their AIO liquid cooled GTX1080Ti. And it features some pretty interesting cooling tech straight out of the box. Source: http://www.tweaktown.com/news/58391/colorful-announces-igame-gtx-1080-ti-neptune-card/index.html It seems like manufacturers these days are more and more incline to go with their own liquid cool solution. What do you guys think of this trend?
  4. They are but HK is still a part of China. Free? Yes. Democratic? Do you know that's one of the things that a political party abuses in HK, want HK to be independent, using "naive" students to cause trouble and wasting time in the assembly chamber? That's the truth there. "assemble and speak in the public unlike in China." Bro, you're in for a culture shock when you go there. I assure you.
  5. Dude, don't worry about VPN and stuff. Enjoy your time there, get some great food, enjoy the free wifi on buses and subway. Have fun! And you won't have any problem accessing western social media when you're in HK. I speak from experience. I just went back to my hometown Guangzhou last December.
  6. This is kinda good since its gonna reduce the spread of STDs haha.
  7. It's possible and companies are actually getting profit from it haha
  8. Well, we can expect bigger SSDs in the future. Especially when you consider the biggest consumer one is from Samsung (4TB). I'm sure Linus gonna get his hand on some of these bad boys. Source: http://www.tweaktown.com/news/58378/viking-technology-ships-50tb-ssd-datacenter/index.html
  9. Knowing my country, ppl will still find a way and VPN will still exist. So, all of you who are scared for China's future, don't be. I'll suggest being scared of your own for a change.
  10. Holy hell does the MSI Global NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti LIGHTNING Z have some OC headroom in its GDDR5X. Anthony's at 12.5Gbps with 540GB/sec of memory bandwidth. GPU hits a wall at 2040MHz
  11. Of course, as a mainstream user, you'll care about the 1440P performance. There's nothing wrong with this and trust me 1440P will stick with us for a long time. Yet, with what we've seen at Computex ( that godly 4K 144Hz g-sync panel), it won't be long before we see 4K 240Hz or even 8K (they'll be expensive at first but that's how the market works.) and we'll need the GPU power to push that frames + pixels. For the lack of interest in 4K in the moment, I definitely understand but you can't say you're not excited with the thought of what kind of new frontier we'll be at, in a few years.
  12. Well, the 4K craze is not feasible for the mainstream consumers at the moment but this gives us a pretty good look at how the market will become in the next 2-4 years.
  13. In all honesty, it's been awhile since we've seen a lightning card.

    Am4 cooler

Any decent air cooler should be fine like the Cryorig R1, Be Quiet Dark Rock 3 or the Noctua ones. You can go AIO as well. A custom loop for Ryzen would be kinda overkill haha
  15. Hey, if you're worried about your choice, TweakTown did a in-depth review of this little board. here's the link: http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/8236/biostar-x370gtn-gaming-motherboard-review/index.html Steven explain everything in it. So, I suggest you to go read it and if you have any more problems or worries, come back here.
  16. For this review, he'll make sure detail the overclocking part. I'm not too sure about the noise part since he doesn't have a sound meter.
  17. the difference between a 1700 and a 1700X is that the 1700X have been binned. That means you have a higher chance of getting a higher overclock. But that depends on the silicon lottery. I would suggest you to get the 1700, save that money for a better board + 3200Mhz memory.
  18. That was in his final thoughts in his review of ASUS Strix GTX1080
  19. Anthony detailed some of it in his final thoughts. He even used it to mine LOL!
  20. He'll detail them in his full review. It should be up soon.
  21. Anthony from TweakTown has just released a glimpse of MSI Lightning Z 4K out of the box performance on TweakTown FB page. He benchmarked: Unigine Heaven Rise of The Tomb Raider Far Cry Primal Shadow of Mordor Metro Last Light As you can see, the card hit 60+ fps in all of the 4 games tested at the highest preset. That means 4K 60FPS gaming might be finally possible with a single card. If we keep going at this rate, maybe we can achieve the same performance with Volta GTX 1170 (or whatever they name it) at 300-400 USD. and of course, here's some GPU porn while you wait for his full review.
  22. Yep! Hope you have fun with your new rig!
