  1. Like @PCGuy_5960 said, get a R5 1600 + B350 board (there's a Ryzen mobo guide thread that've been made last week. check this out.) and get some fast RAM as well. 3000Mhz and 3200Mhz are fine. Be sure to get the Ryzen certified ones to avoid headaches.
  2. Oh it's worth it. Look at it this way - the last gen Ti cards are almost equals to the next gen X70 cards.
  3. Both of them are fine but it'll depends on your preference. You can always save some bucks by going with the regular variant and then OC by yourself.
  4. Anthony gonna test them in SLI + medium settings in his next part. I'll post it here once it's up.
  5. Price it right, Intel. This chip looks promising. My guess is that I'll still have to delid it.
  6. Nah mate. Nvidia gave Jay the beasts like a day before he delivered the PC to Terry. He mentioned it in the delivery vid.
  7. Yeah... But it also makes you work harder for your dream or what you want. Hardwork shapes great men.
  8. I whole heartily agree with that. Tbh, I don't have much faith when they said Navi will be AI focused. Let's see. It might be a monster in raw compute performance.
  9. Why? A lot of consoles games still opt for 30FPS like the upcoming Destiny 2. It's definitely ok for single player campaign.
  10. Maybe in the next 2 generation if Nvidia keeps going upping 2x performance with each generation.
  11. 8K gaming might something foreign to most of the mainstream consumers and it's nothing new. Linus did a vid about it a while but there weren't any metrics... Oh bummer. But! TweakTown has just released the 1st part their native 8K benchmarking article. They tested RoTR, Far Cry Primal and Metro Last Light. They'll test them in SLI in their next article. Stay tuned for that. Here's a glimpse of the results here (Shadow of Mordor): They tested this resolution with a Nvidia Titan Xp, the most powerful card you can buy as of right now + Terry Crews got 2 of them in his rig. So, POOOOOWAAAAAAH! The results are actually not too bad, considering they're on ultra. 60FPS might be achievable at medium and some more tweaking. What do you guys and gals think? Will 8K gaming become mainstream in the next decade or so? Or, maybe we'll have to wait until 4K gaming becomes mainstream first? I would love to know your opinion.
  12. Maybe an AIB RX Vega 56 when they come out. But looking at your display, isn't a GTX1080 overkill? For 1080P, I would suggest at most a GTX1070.
  13. Then, I would suggest getting a H270 board or even a B250 board to save a few buck. For 1080P, you don't need a GTX1080. A GTX1060 6GB will do you fine.
  14. May I ask you why you chose an non-overclockable CPU with a Z270 board? Why a GTX1080 with a 1080P 75Hz monitor?
  15. The only reason it runs hot is because of the terrible TIM Intel used, not because of the cores themselves.
  16. Are you using the top covers as well? I suggest removing them and use the included dust filters to open up the airflow. Also, get more fans - more for the intake to get a positive airflow.
  17. He's using an P400S - the case is known to have limited airflow (front intake). Gamernexus pointed out in their video. My guess is that OP is still with the initial 2 fan ( 1 intake, 1 exit) setup which is not enough for getting rid of the heat output from the 980Ti Extreme.
  18. Your case is known to have thermal issues... What's your fan setup in the case?
