  1. Looking at overclocking my 2400g with the stock cooler. What OC settings do you think I should aim for? AsRock AB350m Pro4 2400g 2x4 G.SKILL Memory @ 2600MHz Corsair 550W PSU
  2. I'm trying to get my G.Skill 3000mhz memory (Dual-channel) to run at its full rated speed using XMP, but when I set XMP 2933Mhz bad things start to happen. I can run XMP at 2666MHz just fine. Any ideas? Now if I need to overclock the RAM manually then I will need some guidance with that as I usually just used XMP with my intel based builds. Specs: ASRock Pro4 Mobo AB350m Ryzen 2400g G.Skill 2x4 3000MHz memory (DC)
  3. Brand new MSI laptop. 90 degrees Celsius while using chrome.

yeah that sounds like msi to me

  4. Odd. If its only happening in 1080p then my guess would be a shuttering issue. Look at your FPS limit, vsync and refresh rate settings. I play on 1080p 144hz no problem with my 6600k(4.5GHz) and my 1070 on siege and fortnite. Also a side note is make sure windows hasn't set your refresh rate to 60hz for some odd reason. Mine has a tendency to do so
  5. Been searching around online and put together a build for a friend. Wondering if there's anything I should change before ordering. Thanks! Note: He will eventually get a 1050ti for it https://pcpartpicker.com/list/nZxmxG
  6. Whats a good oc motherboard thats not overpriced for the 2400g? Will be using stock cooler for a slight overclock on the GPU and some of the CPU.

  7. I have a quick question about multiprocessing. I want to create a child process that waits for a task to do from the main process and then I want it to process whatever it needs to (such as getting api data) and then send the results back to the main process; however, I want the child process to immediately wait for another task again. I feel like I'm over seeing something, but I have no idea how to achieve something like this. I'm wondering if I could use queue() or something like that, but I need some other input here. Thanks!
  8. Another friend of mine is wanting me to build a pc for him and his max budget is $575 (Technically $600, but ya know Windows is required). He will play games like fortnite, pubg, etc. Does not include peripherals I was thinking of getting him a 2400g so he could save up for a 1050ti later, but I'm not sure what route to go. I was also looking at an i3 8100, but then he'll need to save up for a dedicated GPU to play any games. Edit: He's ok with anything that'll run at PS4 pro graphics settings at 1080p 60fps.
  9. @Jurrunio Think I should have him save up for a 1050ti as an upgrade to go along with the 2400G?
  10. The iGPU on the Ryzen chip is plenty? I'm not very familiar with 2nd gen ryzen yet.
  11. Looking at building a pc for a friend. Max budget is $450 USD. Will be mainly used for Fortnite, PUBG, GTA, etc. Does not include accessories. Thanks

Spectrum raised my bill up to 194.02... I love…

I have no other options for "high speed" internet besides spectrum. The only other thing I got is cellular hotspots.

My spectrum bill is currently around $152. Increases every year by $10. I'm dropping my cable in a couple weeks and just using spectrum internet. I finally have decided that something like Sling TV is enough for me.
  14. Just got my S9 (Snapdragon) about a week ago and the temperature is around 36° Celsius and it doesn't seem very hot to me. I have noticed that youtube, web browsing and such can cause a decent raise in temperature.
  15. Bought an S9 for $20/month for 30 months. Legit broke now

If $20 a month makes you broke you need to get a better job or look at your habits :P

  16. Format the SD card as FAT32, then simply extract the files into the root directory of the SD card (extract the files into the main directory of the SD card itself, not any folders on the SD card)

Thanks Samsung. Really appreciate the S9 ads in…

I'm almost thinking its from my carrier bloatware. Here's a pic

I've never seen ads in my notifications...plus it's not really Samsung's fault :P

  19. I currently have a BlackWidow Chroma V1 and it's decent. To me it feels really nice, but the switches are really loud. My friends are always annoyed in a discord channel by the typing noise. The RGB is pretty cool though I guess. I would recommend it for $40, but for an extra $20 (or even less), I would just get a Corsair.
  20. You could disable the splash screen if you truly wanted to. It would be in your BIOS under something like Boot --> Full-Screen Logo Display
  21. You could try to enter an LTT giveaway or something to the sorts in the future, but the odds are pretty low. I would really recommend finding a summer job tbh.
  22. Yeah, I have my headphones plugged into my keyboard as well. Try switching between the HDMI/Display port.
  23. Most likely not the issue, but I ran a quick test. I turned off my HDMI switch for my second monitor and the audio did turn off for 1-2 seconds as you're describing. I usually have exactly the same issue you're having when one of my HDMI connections are loose and also when my HDMI switch is being changed.
