  1. I've been experiencing a similar problem since the "October" (November) update. Does the new folder show up when you restart explorer.exe?
  2. Quick question. Does a motherboard at least attempt to post if the cpu is completely shot? (Fans, leds, etc)

  3. Tried everything and got a new PSU. My microphone light doesnt flash anymore, but the computer still wont turn on. Whenever the psu is turned on the green led on the mobo flashes and then fades away. I also noticed the board getting warm and smelling kind of funny so I'm going to just RMA the board and hope I didn't lose anything else.
  4. Believe it has a gray label. I also dont have another psu to test it. So when I press the power button literally nothing happens. Only LED I notice is my microphone which is flashing which it's never suppose to do. I checked my 24 pin and CPU pin. Aren't those the only 2 connectors I need that at minimum should make it post? I'm also thinking maybe my start button pin is loose by the actual button. But another thing I noticed is my PC shutoff when I bumped into my desk. But I did in fact check my 6 pin CPU and 24 pin connector and still nothing
  5. I was using my computer (built 3 years ago) and all of a sudden it just turned off. I tried turning it back on, but nothing would happen. No fans or anything. The only thing I noticed is the LED on my microphone started flashing. Usually the mic light stays solid while the PC is off, but now it was pulsing every 2 seconds. I checked my CPU and 24 pin connector, but nothing. I removed my PSU and jumped it using the green and ground pin and it fired up and the fan kept running. I'm really hoping it's not my motherboard. I swapped my thermal compound a couple of weeks ago, and I took it to a friends house 4 days ago. Any ideas? Specs: 6600k Corsair Cx750m PSU Asus Z170-a mobo 16 GB DDR4 g.skill memory Gtx 1070
  6. I'm interested in building a computer for a friend and his budget is $850. He is interested in playing games like GTA V, Watch Dogs 2, COD, CSGO, Fortnite, etc. I was thinking about pairing a RX 580 with something like a Ryzen 5 2600. Any recommended builds?
  7. Well Cyber Monday is here and I am looking for a new 65" inch smart tv. My budget is $2000 USD. Any ideas?
  8. Hmm...interesting. I never heard anything about the google daydream after the launch.
  9. Looking for a double din touchscreen car head unit for around $250USD (Amazon). I was considering a Atoto A6 android unit, but now I'm considering a pioneer radio. Any recommendations?
  10. That sounds about right for a gaming laptop. Try undervolting if possible. My laptop (7700hq) had a decent decrease in temperature by undervolting.
  11. Nice Review. I was thinking about getting the Surface Go. I was able to get my hands on a surface pro 2 for free and I'm enjoying it so far; however, the battery on the SP2 is not the greatest.
  12. Yeah, my bad. It was sold out on Amazon and my Pcpartpicker wasn't configured properly. Thanks!
  13. Can't find any RX 580's currently available. Are they in high demand right now?
  14. Looking for a GPU to pair with the 2400g that can run most triple-A titles (GTA V, Fortnite, etc) on medium-high settings at a steady 60fps. My top end budget is around $200, but it would be great if the card wasn't at the top end of the budget. Thanks
  15. Well my Internet speed went from 60MBPS Down/5UP to 110MBPS DOWN and 11UP last night without me being informed. Not complaining at all.

    1. Windows7ge

      Windows7ge

I wish my internet was 880/88Mbps like that.

  16. I am building a budget ryzen build and I've been having several issues with this build. I am trying to only overclock the APU, but for some reason, the CPU keeps increasing its voltage to up to 1.55v and decrease it to as low as .8v which has been causing instability/high temperatures (90+). I have it set to 3.6GHz @ 1.31V in the BIOS and I have also disabled turbo boost. Any ideas?
  17. Yeah, I guess I can't get the CPU under 1.32v without the APU crashing. Well, no OC at all I guess
  18. Yeah. I'm probably going to need to undervolt the CPU I guess
  19. It also seems as if I run the CPU at 3.7GHz at 1.30v the APU Crashes. Interesting Edit: Looks like I'm running at stock
  20. Yeah, I reduced the GPU from 1.2v @ 1500MHz to 1.5V @ 1400MHz and it keeps crashing so no overclock I guess. This build has just been awful for overclocking
  21. I currently have my CPU OC'ed at 1.31v @ 3.750GHz and my APU overclocked at 1500MHz @ 1.2V. I am using the stock cooler and I'm wondering if my temps are going to be a problem. When I stress test my CPU only, the average temperature is about 73-74 degrees Celsius; however, when I stress test my CPU and APU at the same time then the average max temp is 91 degrees Celsius. I know the max safe temperature for the 2400g is 91 degrees celsius exact, but I noticed it's not throttling either. Any ideas? Edit: I'm going to have to reduce my GPU OC I guess. Rip
  22. Anything above 1.35v seems a little high to me (I may be wrong)
  23. Yeah I've got G.Skill 2x4GB running in Dual Channel. Can't get it past 2800MHz @ 1.35v (BIOS Default Voltage) using XMP. Any ideas? I have not tried to overclock manually as I'm not familiar with memory OC.
  24. Yeah so far 1.31v at 3.8 has been working. Any idea for the iGPU? Edit: My average temp with the 1.31v at 3.8GHz was 73 degrees Celsius on Aida64.
