  1. Slight laziness and putting money into upgrades that actually affect the performance and experience and not just the look of something you're not going to see anyway. And it's just delaying it anyway so you may end up getting one of those unless you do what I did and kind of forget.
  2. Honestly you can just hide it under the desk, you'd be better off upgrading the hardware before thinking about aesthetics. I ended up hiding my case as well.
  3. Zen seems promising and I haven't been very interested in Kabylake and I'd suggest just waiting for the full information such as prices and benchmarks.
  4. Have you monitored your cpu usage when this happens? If it's too high, you may want to take your bit rate down a bit. I'd recommend lowest 2000 kb/s
  5. It could be your internet, what speeds do you have? and there isn't any reason then going over 3500 kb/s for your upload as that's twitch's limit for non-partnered streamers and even partnered streamers don't tend to go over it.
  6. You still get a feature improvement with newer tear cpus and other improvements but that may be shops not knowing the difference between cpus to a certain degree. Just used cpus are second hand and due to their lower length of available life they are not worth as much.
  7. If you want numbers, this article has benchmarking results for both the 1060 3/6gb and the 970 at 1080 and 1440p. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2016-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1060-3gb-vs-6gb-review
  8. I'd recommend the gtx 1060, they are pretty much on par when it comes to performance with games giving out pretty mixed results with the majority showing slightly better results for the 1060 6gb.
  9. As long as it's locked to the right region (some just aren't and you may be able to change that if it is) you should be able to.
  10. There isn't much difference between ram so it's not really review worthy, the last reviews I've seen from Linus were either cosmetics based or just comparing the two standards (DDRs). Only real thing to note about ram is buy it from a trustworthy source and buy the right standard. I also wouldn't worry about the speed too much as in my experience, anything over and including 1866mhz is good.
  11. You may be using an older ethernet cable that isn't capable of supporting your full speeds. (there are different types of RJ45 cables eg cat6)
  12. A computer being wireless shouldn't make the connection better than a wired connection (unless the wire is basically broken or an old cable that may be a standard that isn't as capable and if anything it could have a negative effect) and you're pretty much out of luck, the only option is just changing isp or plan.
  13. Should be compatible, BIOS only affects cpu compatibility.
  14. I'd recommend not reusing an old hard drive if it's been well used as they have a limited lifetime (long but limited and based on use) and older hard drives are more limited than newer ones and other things may have also degraded it. Especially as a main drive.
  15. The Motherboard's BIOS shouldn't affect a gpu's performance and even the pcie gen 2 shouldn't be a problem.
  16. With the modmic 5 you can switch between either omni or unidirectional and to my knowledge the previous version came with seperate versions.
  17. An Antlion Modmic 5 (found at https://antlionaudio.com/products/modmic-5 for $69.95) would help, you can attach them to your headset.
  18. If it repeats then this chart should be enough.
  19. There isn't a way to "link" accounts that I'm aware of (don't think that'd actually exist) but that seems like the only option.
  20. A monitor can still be detected if it's not receiving power (just tested that myself) and you'd probably want to try using another cable (if you don't have one you'll probably find it on amazon if you search "power cable") to power the monitor.
  21. I would prefer to win the NEW Razer Blade 14 due it having a i7-6700hq and 16 gbs of ram with the gtx 1060 being a good reason but not neccessary. This laptop would be used for mostly gaming, hobbies and studies.
  22. Does the MSI B85-G43 Gaming have a built in speaker (beeper) for diagnostics?
