  1. might wanna update the desc of the video tho
  2. For comparison, this is my currenr build: GPU GTX Strix 1080 TI CPU Intel Core i7 8700k @5GHz Motherboard ASUS Z370-F Gaming CPU Cooler NZXT Kraken x62 RAM Corsair Vengeance RGB 2x8GB Storage 500 GB 960 EVO 500 GB 850 EVO 1000 GB HDD PSU Seasonic Focus+ 750W 85+ GOLD
  3. Actually, I have a really shitty desktop laying around ? I will do this
  4. Hmm, just main thing im looking for is what cpu to get that is minimum for the 1080ti to stretch its legs a bit. Budget for build? Usd 1000 maybe?
  5. So, I was lucky enough to strike a really good deal for a 2080ti phoenix (got it for USD 200). I have an 1080ti from before and don't really need the money from selling it. What would you guys so with it? Tempted to build an alright computer with it so my girlfriend can play, but I'm not sure what parts to get. I would not need a balls to the walls computee, just something that runs games and doesnt bottleneck the 1080ti too much. Budget: cheap as possible, looks doesnt matter but will go for a closed case probably. Any cool ideas? Throw them at me, can do something fun with it too.. Edit: If possible, a VR computer would be an idea also. Have an x62 kraken cpu cooler laying around that is not in use.
  6. I subscribe to Youtube Premium (YT Music), TIDAL HiFi and Spotify. All of the above I would recomend for different reasons: YT Music: Good for discovering new music if you are not a huge fan of making your own playlists and really nice for casual listeners. TIDAL: Only reason I use this is for use at a $100 000 soundsystem I got at home and want the best sound quality one can get for streaming, here TIDAL come out the strongest. TIDAL HiFi is about twice the price of YT Music and Spotify (You can get YT Music and Spotify for the same price) but TIDAL also have a cheaper option in witch the sound quality come out pritty close to what Spotify can produce. I would not recomend TIDAL unless you are a audio freak and even though they claim to have 40M songs compared to Spotifys 30M, there is a not a lot of songs you can't find on Spotify, and Ive actually found that more often than not TIDAL is lacking some of the songs I'm looking for. TIDALS app is far from perfect and lacking at the moment some key features like for example folders for your playlists. Spotify: Everyone uses it, TIDAL is lacking the social part of easily sharing music, making playlists with friends and their Discover Weekly is a good experience for me most of the time. For what I use the most it must be Spotify just because it's what I've been using for years and the social part of it is important for me when im out working, traveling or other things. And YT Music havent become a huge hit in my friends group yet so only reason I got it is for the casual random discovering moods I crave sometimes. QUICK TIP: If you decide to try out different streaming services but want to carry over your playlists: https://soundiiz.com/ will be a huge time saver when it comes to transferring over and even syncing playlists.

  8. I have now bought two bundles after contacting humble bundle and getting this answer: Hi there, Thanks for reaching out to Humble Bundle Customer Support. The key for Private Internet Access does not appear to have a redemption deadline, so you should be fine to wait a bit to redeem it. I still recommend redeeming it as soon as possible (I always recommend this with all keys). Let me know if you have any questions. Take care! So if you feel like risking it, might be worth trying to buy two years
  9. Great deal for one year of Private internet access (PIA) for $15, I don't know anything about the rest of the programs but ye... https://www.humblebundle.com/software/cybersecurity-software-bundle?hmb_source=navbar&hmb_medium=product_tile&hmb_campaign=tile_index_5

  11. During the I/O conferance on Thuesday Google revealed their new artificial intelligence assistant called "Duplex" (Arcticle: https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/news/google-duplex-ai-artificial-intelligence-phone-call-robot-assistant-latest-update-a8342546.html) this will allow Google Assistant to call up for example a hair saloon to book an appointment for you without you calling yourself. Myself I'm thinking "Kinda cool sure, but creepy at the same time". What do you guys thing about this? Video:
  12. No mac for me ^^ Like I said, only word and excel for the moment. My work requirements will pritty much fill the gaps that I don't have at school right now.
  13. Been looking at it, but can't decide if I want to go for the 2018 version or not. Wich version do you have? (sucks that the touch version requires 4k display...)
  14. Hello, I've bee looking for a new laptop for work/school but having a hard time deciding. For school, it will only need to run Word, Excel and other office programs so this isn't my main concern For work, I do a lot of website designing, photo editing (photoshop and illustrator), lots of browser tabs open at once (work with customer service for a quality management system) so multitasking is a big part of my job. Price range: ~1 300 USD - ~2 000 USD Neat features I would like: Not sure if I need a dedicated GPU, but light gaming would be an advantage. Portable as I travel a lot. Look good (not anything gaming related) Touch screen would be nice. I live in Norway so the laptop prices will have a bit of a difference compared to other countries like the US (from what I've seen maybe 20% more in Norway.) Hopefully, I will get some good responses that will help me decide! Some of the electronic stores in Norway: https://www.komplett.no/ https://www.dustinhome.no/ https://www.power.no/
  15. Thank alot! I will pass this on to him for him to have a look!

  17. Hello there, A friend of mine is looking for a new laptop and thought I should ask you guys about some advice. I've already been looking a bit at the Asus ZenBook family so if you happened to know anything about any of these leave a comment below! The only requirements that he gave me was: - 15" screen - Not top notch when it comes to price (not too cheap either so I guess around $1000) - He wants it to have quick startup time, be able to save all important programs. - Plug and play - He will do some work on this laptop, browse the web, but no hardcore tasks like photoshop or gaming on it. Thanks for any suggestions!
  18. So happy I bought my 1080Ti before all this mining hype <3
  19. You could look into docking stations that use USB (not sure if docking station will be the correct name for it) but I used that years ago when I was on a budget and very young. Don't expect to get any high frames on it though so would look into wich ones are good and not.
  20. So, by some mistake, I've ended up with a free NZXT Kraken x62 cooler (I already have one in my build.) Does any of you have any cool use cases for my second one? I think I've heard of someone using an NZXT cooler to cool their graphics card? I don't have a water cooled GPU right now but would this be worth looking into or will voiding the warranty for this use case be a total waste?
