  1. Guess I'll have to go 27" and change my VESA mount. It doesn't support 27" monitors that well
  2. It depends on how many featues you need from your motherboard (better power delivery for the CPU, more SATA ports, more USB ports, etc.). The B450 is newer as well. For me personally, I would always go wtih a B450 over an A320.
  3. Hi. I've been searching the web to find a 1440p montitor that fits my needs, but I couldn't really find anything. Hence, I'm turning to the forum. Requirements: 1440p 144Hz IPS panel type 24" (if poossible) Can be bought in a EU store. Thanks in advance.
  4. As far as I've experienced, resetting let's the drivers remain installed, whereas freshinstalling deletes everything. Usually when trying to fix BSOD issues I go for the clean install. A couple of things to try before clean installing: Running CMD as admin and typing sfc /scannow then restart. Running Powershell as admin and typing dism /online /cleanup-image /checkhealth then if nothing is found replace /checkhealth with /scanhealth. If something is found type dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth then restart.
  5. Most likely what I think causes this, is either the controller on the USB or just Windows being Windows.
  6. I have never heard of a LAN port having anything to do with audio issues.... I'm kinda at a loss. This is definetly one of the most tricky issues I've encountered on this forum.
  7. Hmmmm That is VERY strange..... Have you tried with a different headset?
  8. What is up with everyone using this as their profile pic?????? Is there something I missed? Am very confused.... Also couldn't find a proper GIF so I "borrowed" @CircleTech's. Thanks 🥰

      FakeNSA

      Yep, that's my fault!

Feel free to stop by the thread above, and consider joining if you're interested! ;)

  9. Before doing anything I'd recommend that you reset the CMOS. I'm also gonna address your theories (made it a spoiler so this post wouldn't be so goddamn long to look at )
  10. If you're not planning overclocking, the extra 4-pin is unnecessary.
  11. Aside from what @Chris Pratthas already said I'd like to add that a 1000W PSU is kinda overkill. If this was me I'd go with a 750-800W unit. Something like the Corsair RM750 should do fine.
  12. Ah, seems I've been mistaken. In that case I'd say go for it.
  13. Idle temps for Ryzen is around the 50ish range. Seeing thermal throttling with Cinebench is not a suprise since its such a heavy workload for this model of CPU. i'd recommend to run R15 instead of R20.
  14. Seeing that the AM4 socket is reaching EOL, what I would do is wait. That way I'd have an upgrade path in the future without having to also buy a new motherboard.
  15. I don't know for certain so take this with a spoonfull of salt, but I think it has something to do with how Windows detects hardware. Anyways in this case if this was me I'd trust the S/N on the box.
  16. Air cooling would yield the same result. If you want the temp to go down the only option is to ramp up fan/pump speed. Or you can try undervolting. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  17. Sometimes the serial number is on a sticker somewhere on the motherboard. If the manufacturer of the motherboard is ASUS, you can find the S/N on the top PCIe slot.
  18. 50ish degrees is normal idle temps for Ryzen CPUs.
  19. You can use the app called Infuse. It can access files on your PC. It even has Plex integration.
  20. My setup is the Index with Vive base stations. So far after 7 months, no complaints from me.
  21. Base stations are required for any operation so they are essential.
  22. By far the best VR headset for consumers is the Valve Index.
