Which begs the question, when will Google design their own SoCs? It’s pretty obvious that Google is taking a few pages from Apple’s playbook in the design of the Pixel phones with the exception of SoC, they still rely on Qualcomm. 

I just learned today that Apple came first before ARM to came up with a 64-bit ARM chip.
