OLED on a laptop? How about no! Unless someone wants dead pixels and screen burn in because of the persistent dock or taskbar at the bottom after two years of use? There’s no need to switch to short-lived OLED to achieve 120Hz variable refresh rate as demonstrated by the iPad Pro which uses IPS LCD.

    I’m hoping they don’t. Tbh the only advantage I can see with OLED is higher contrast, true blacks and thinner displays but that’s about it. When it comes to longevity, IPS LCD takes it.

    I wouldn't be surprised if they actually did it; thin, light and expensive is their thing.
