I know that the camera on the Pixel is one of the best but I think Google rigged their camera comparison. Someone is bound to call me a "shill" at this moment but there's no way the photo on the left is the actual shot from the iPhone Xs. It looks like they dragged exposure way down, which you can do on the iOS viewfinder.

If they're comparing an iPhone 3GS photo vs the Pixel 3, I would've believed it but that crappy with an iPhone Xs, fuck that.

Yeah, I can tell you right now that my god damn iPod touch can make pictures look almost as bright as the Pixel 3's images; either Google isn't being honest about their photo methodology or something's really up with their iPhone Xs.

I mean, I have an X and can confirm that photos in that setting, with that lighting, could not possibly be that dark unless you dragged the exposure slider down all the way...
Quick shot of my keyboard at default with just tap focus vs dragging the exposure to nearly the bottom:IMG_2030.thumb.jpg.bc58e8763cfdb421cf280a8fe05db48a.jpg
