  9. The idea is to not go out and buy one. I live in a country where everythings been closed all week and I didnt want to wait till monday. Mainly doing it just to see if its possible. I dont want to install it in a virtual machine because it doesnt allow the testing I want to achieve. Ive read pleanty of posts online that say Win 7 and Win 8 can be dualbooted. What would be the difference? The Windows Boot Manager already exists on the System Reserved partition on disk0, so the Windows 10 installer will likely put the entries in there. 10. Yeah, I tried booting from the disk but nothing happens. I think it might be trying to boot from E: in that case though. I dont know how to force J: to be the first one
  11. Hello there! Im currently running Windows 7 and I want to dual boot Windows 10 to try it out. I made the partition, but then realized I'm out of Dvds and I dont have a USB stick large enough to fit the installation files. From what I understand, it's possible to set up a bootable partition and install from there. I can't seem to get it to work, however. My disk setup is as follows, screenshot for easy comprehension: Basically, I want to boot from J: and install Windows 10 onto F: I tried installing it within Windows, but it wont let me pick the location ,it just tries to upgrade my current copy. Virtual machine is not an option I mounted the Windows 10 installation disk and copied the files out to the J: Partition on Disk 3. I also ran bootsec.ext /nt60 on this partition as well. Upon setting Disk 2 as the boot drive in the BIOS, nothing loaded. What am I doing wrong here? Thanks in advance!
