Hey guys,
I have a Plugable Thunderbolt 4 dock, which is supposed to support up to 4 displays at up to 4K each. The issue is, there seems to be a documented issue where the Nvidia drivers have had issues with USB-C and Thunderbolt displays. The only option seems to be to downgrade to a quite old Nvidia driver (512.95 specifically), which is more than a year and a half old. The dock seems to work fine when on the older driver, however I'm getting noticeably worse performance in newer games. Plugable's support site mentions a newer driver that supposedly works (532.03), however I haven't had any luck with that version. I made sure to run DDU before trying each driver version to make sure I had a clean install. I've also tried disabling Optimus and only using the dedicated GPU.
I was wondering if anyone had experience with these issues, and had a better solution?
Thanks,
- Eric
