Yeah sorry, I forgot to respond to you.

Looking at the store the cheapest psu I would recommend would actually be the same thing @herman mcpootis recommended, the CXM 550 lol. Anything else cheaper isn't that great. It costs a bit more but the electrical quality is pretty good and it's semi modular too as an added bonus.

    EDIT: Forgot link http://dynaquestpc.com/product/corsair-cx-series-cx550m-80plus-bronze-modular-power-supply/

212 evo is good for ocing... I'm not sure how heavy of an OC it can take but look up reviews, there's plenty. If you plan to OC it's better to have a psu that gives you wiggle room. That's why the rx480 was taking extra power from the pcie slot, but any gpu will do that if your psu can't supply it with enough power.

If you want to stick with 8gb (which is good enough) get 2 4gb sticks and run in dual channel mode.  When you run in single channel mode, you're essentially gimping your memory throughput.  Dual Channel means more bandwith, which means better performance

Edit: Any ssd should be good, just make sure the read and write speeds are around 500 and read some reviews on it ^^

The Kingston V300 is a shite ssd, trust me, i've had lots of experiences with it. It failes much more often than other SSD's. Any other SSD should be good. Also, i'd upgrade the cooler to a h7 cryorig but hey that's just me. Adata is good.

Yeah then more than enough, if you plan to do just that, even your build is mopre than adequate enough to run those, and some head room with the GPU that you chose.

LoL and Overwatch nearly take nothing to run.

the i7 would help, but without it you should be okay.

Why a single 8 GB stick? I would get another to go dual channel and double your memory capacity.

Add a 120GB or 250GB SSD to that list, use it as a boot drive.

    The power supply is fine.

PSU is fine, 500W is enough. I would try for another 8Gb (Not needed, just nice to have) of ram and a SSD.

As I said, 550W is fine even if you plan to OC (That build wont draw more than about 350W-400W from the wall). Hyper 212 will give you a decent OC (Won't be amazing, but good value for cheap).

best place to go for OCing any K skylake cpu's for starters

ideally you really dont want to hit 80C so for instance

    80C Hot (100% Load)
    75C Warm
    70C Warm (Heavy Load)
    60C Norm
    50C Norm (Medium Load)
    40C Norm
    30C Cool (Idle)
    25C Cool

Just keep load temps under 90c and keep the voltage under 1.3v if your using the 212x

SaylorTwift1196 reacted to quan289 in does the seasonic g650 good for a gaming pc ?
Seasonic M12II Evo 520-620 is an old but decent budget unit. The 750-850w model is a better and will provide you better overall voltage stability due to DC-DC.
Personally, I would move away from the group-regulated 520-620w model, but I wouldn't have any problem using it if you already gotten it or if there isn't any other good option in your price range.

Personally I would go for the GTX 1060 (shadowplay), but the RX 480 is nearly the same. The PSU is fine and the amount of wattage is fitting for the build (maybe a bit much). I would maybe get a better SSD, if you can afford it.

psu's fine, but rosewill quark 80+ platinum 550w looks good for $60 after rebates, you can go for that instead.

    It seems great to me
And if you will be streaming, don't swap to RX 480.

GTX 1060 and shadow play will be much better for streaming.
