    Laptop Memory

Any particular reason as to the faster one?
  4. I was looking to upgrade my laptop ram since it only has a single 4gb stick. I am hoping to upgrade it to 16gb, I was wondering if there are any specifics I should keep in mind. The laptop I am attempting this on is an Acer Apire v5-573pg-9610, I am aware that the cpu isn't the greatest but am not sure if that will pose an issue. The two I am currently looking at that are available near me are: Patriot https://www.frys.com/product/7594356?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG Corsair Value Select https://www.frys.com/product/6932057?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG Both are ddr3 sodim as my current, but I am unsure if that is the only thing I should be checking for. Also I do not know which is a more reliable brand whether patriot or corsair.

    Quality of LG34BK650-W

What would be the proper resolution that I should be looking for, in that case?

    Quality of LG34BK650-W

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1404850-REG/lg_34bk650_w_34_class_ips_hdr10.html Hello, I am currently looking at the LG34BK650-W, which is currently running on BH for $289 from its usual MSRP of $599. The BH post has no reviews and the amazon listing has reviews mixed for various sizes. I would do more research on my own but I am pressed for time doing other assignments so I was hoping someone could let me know their experience.

    Quest for a New Router

I do realize there is another post with a similar question I just think that options are a bit too pricey for me and OP from that post is dealing with gigabit internet while mine tops gets me 110 mbps.

    Quest for a New Router

My router that I currently have is giving too many issues, I didn't have any issues with it until I moved it a couple months ago. Since I have moved it back to the same conditions that I had, I have restored to factory defaults, re updated the firmware (thought it hasn't been updated since 2015). I still get issues with the dual band, 5GHz was failing me before and now 2.4GHz is failing randomly. My desktop is wired through the router and I would say it fine but I randomly get lag spikes while streaming videos. Gaming is mostly fine once I get connected through otherwise its a pain trying to get the client to connect to the server. When the 5GHz is working testing through my iPhone 6s Plus I get a down of 110 and a up of 11, this is normally when its not I cant even connect to Ookla to test. 2.4GHz usually gets me around half typically within the higher 40s lower 50s sown with the same 11 up but today I got a score of 17 down and 11 up. Since Tp-Link is no longer supporting my device I am looking around for new hardware. Any suggestions are welcome I do not plan to spend more than $130 USD.

    Router Issues

Yea the 2.4 GHz is fine, but from the given speed I get about half of the tested speed.

    Router Issues

That was my iPhone 6s but it has happened with my Surface as well.

    Router Issues

That is normally what I am getting, meaning when it does work. When the signal drops I’m not terribly far rather I’m close by, probably like 20 feet away from the router. Though it has failed much closer to that as well.

    Router Issues

So for about a month now I have been having issues with my 5GHz band. It will be working at times then the video/page stops loading, and on the bad days the connection just times out. My 2.4 GHz band works perfectly fine so I am not sure whether this is a router thing or ISP thing. I am using a TP-Link AC1750 router and my internet provider is Spectrum with what should 100 mbps down and 10 up. Yes I have rebooted the router and no firmware updates are available at this moment.
  15. Ok cool I'll try it if this doesnt work out.
