  1. I returned the laptop, but if I recalled correctly I believe it was 3:3. Flashing first white then orange.
  2. Hello Everyone, I am trying to upgrade ram on aforementioned laptop. It currently has a 8GB stick of ram and I am trying to upgrade it 32GB (16x2) 3200mhz corsair vengeance. According to Dell's specification the ram fits the qualifications for the laptop but it does not boot what so ever. (Link to Dell's Specs) I checked both sticks individually in each slot, and got no post. As only the original stick functioned I tried, mixing the original with one new (yes I know this is not recommended) but still no post. The keyboard lights turn on for a bit then turn off. The activity light flashed a couple of times white then orange alternating. My best guess is that it has to do with Windows 11 TPM, but I am not sure about that. If anyone has any information regarding windows 11 or the laptop specifically it would be appreciated. I am not trying to contact Dell Support because the laptop is not mine but a co-worker's. Thanks!
  3. Budget (including currency): $1,300 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Excel, Python, Games, and Streaming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have everything on the list except the cooler, but I wanted help choosing whether to keep the mobo I currently have or if I should change it. I noticed too late that I do not have the correct USB headers for my case, and I am unsure whether I should stick with the one I have or if I should return it. I bought on BF so everything is well under the return window. Current Build
  4. Ok will do. I think I might as well start looking into long term solution for a backup. Any rec?
  5. I built this computer back in 2018 and yes i can currently hear it, but I have been able to hear noises since it got it new. And one day the noises stopped and now they started again
  6. Hello Everyone, Yesterday I got a notification from windows stating it found a corrupted file and needed to be repaired. I restarted my computer and allowed windows to do its thing, but the same pop up persisted. I ran chkdsk /scan and got "windows has checked the file system and found problems. I ran chkdsk /r in the attempt to repair and restarted my pc since the drive was in use and was not able to be taken offline. I tried this twice and the second time no new notification and nothing on the scan. The only issue I see is the windows login image is cut off in half; like a quarter of the image shows and the rest is just grey screen. Windows seems to behave as normal, other than one anomaly. Today I checked Event Viewer and see that it was an issue with my D: drive. A corruption was discovered in the file system structure on volume D:. The Master File Table (MFT) contains a corrupted file record. The file reference number is 0x200000000075f. The name of the file is "<unable to determine file name>". Not sure how to proceed Thanks
  7. Well I got it to work, and I am now on a GPT partition. Unless these is something else I would need to do thank you very much for the support! The BIOS Flashing was the key to the success. For future reference I updated to P4.80 and UEFI now works.
  8. Was successful on the flashing the BIOS but it still doesnt work. UEFI that is, everything else seems fine
  9. Well imma try to update to 4.80 then. It the only one that doesnt require me install something else first so I will start there. Wish me luck
  10. I got a couple of questions. This is ASRocks BIOS update page, but I am not sure which would be for my MOBO. https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/X370 Killer SLIac/index.asp#BIOS What should i be looking for? So say I need to update 4.80 but im on 4.50 do I need to consecutively update through each one or all in one go unless explicitly stated?
  11. Always nervous when flashing a board. Then I also need to make sure i dont flash it to a new version because gen 4 drops gen 1 supp if I recall correctly
  12. Ya love to see it. Someone else has the exact same issue as you but they only post "EDIT: IT WORKS!" Apperently they updated BIOS and it worked for them, not sure why it would have changed anything
