DarkJShadow reacted to TopDollar in I want to see how many of us preordered the Vive or the Oculus!
I preordered the oculus, however I expect to buy the vive as well a little later down the road since steam vr seems like it might be the more immersive vr experience with more developer support.

I would say the R9 380 is pretty much the top one as for right now.
    At amazon.com there's one for 199$.
That is sure too. We'll see what happens.

Nobody said the VR is cost effective. . . .

It's the first product of this kind, of course it will be expensive. The PC required for such a gadget will also be more expensive than a normal computer. The prices will drop in time.

Man, cell phones cost so much, they're never going to take off!

I don't care what you say Misanthrope, I'm excited for VR and I'm jumping on the bandwagon later this year when it's availabe in this wasteland I'm currently living in.

Honestly my 2c are I actually think this is a reasonable price for the Vive, and I accually expected it to be north of 900$ when available. AND, I didn't think it would be available till late september tbh.

I get your frustration, we'd all love to get hardware for free, but that's never going to haopen. You might consider this to be  overpriced, but look at the apple iwatch. All the techworld was outraged by its price/performance, and then it went to be the most succesful smartwatch out there. You're not the only audience this device caters to mate...
I actually expect VR to be somewhat succesfull, as I was around for the 3d hype and it wasnt as big as VR hype. I honestly think VR is here to stay

If you want to have a serious NAS I would even recommend a SATA multiplier and a Raid 1 or 5 for data safety. The Banana Pi does support it, as far as I know. Here is an example: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/1-turn-5-SATA-expansion-card-SATA-port-multiplier-SATA-adapter-card-can-support-5-SATA/2012532269.html?aff_platform=aaf&sk=aimAqrrNv%3A&cpt=1455274294983&aff_trace_key=97837f9cf5e048e382f7aa7d18573705-1455274294983-07247-aimAqrrNv
With the sata connectors it is quite fast and you can recycle old harddrives.
    I found a tutorial here: http://www.htpcguides.com/rebuild-bananian-kernel-with-sata-port-multiplier-support/

    Hello you all!

I'm searching for a fast calculator with an i7-6700HQ or better. I don't want any dedicated graphics, as I usually turn them off manually.
I can't seem to find any availlable at the moment. Do you know of any?

    Greetings!
