  2. What is this? Can i turn it off and should i? Thank you.
  3. Hi all, Ive been trying to find out about why my BIOS time on boot is so high but i cant find any threads which actually answer my questions. I built my PC in February and ever since then, even with a clean install of windows, the BIOS times have been in the 24s range. My most recent BIOS time was 26.2s. I will put my specs down below. Many threads have said check the UEFI settings but i dont know how to do this or what it even is after a bit of googling. Are there any steps i can take to lower my bios times as its annoying me. 4. Good point. Maybe there could be a work around to that. Who knows, this is a hypothetical idea.
  5. So, Xiaomi and Oppo have recently shown a selfie camera under the screen at the too Do you guys know of any selfie cameras which lie under the screen closer to the middle because this seems like a really good idea. My idea is that the camera would lie about 1/3 of the way from the top of the screen instead of the top like in all phones. It would be essentially underneath the middle of the screen. This would benefit the user because 1) when taking selfies the camera would be close to the person's eyes meaning they would therefore be looking into the camera in a more natural position as they would be looking them selves in the eye 2) No notch 3) Video calling somone would make eye contact easier as you could actually look at someone and therefore be looking directly into the camera 4) The sensor could be much larger as there is no bezel or notch to try to reduce the size of allowing the selfie camera to be as good as the other camera on a phone. I dunno What do you think, please let me know.
  6. Oh. Oops. Ambient temps in the house are about 20c. Thank you, nothing to worry about then.
  7. About 35-42c normally. Sometimes spiking up to high 40s when the cpu spikes. My temps spike then fall slowly then spik and fall slowly over and over again at idle.
  8. Forgive me if this is a nooby question but I am a little unsure what is happening with my pc. I recently built my first pc and I have a corsair h100x in it (240mm rad) and my cpu is a ryzen 3600. My idle temps are in the 30-40c range I think this is normal. My issue is, is that I do folding at home and my cpu hits 75c when it is folding. I feel like this is much too high for a 240mm rad with this cpu. Is this just me being paranoid or is there something wrong? Thank you.
  9. I have a set of corsair vengence 3200mhz ram. It is only actually running at 2133. Ive tried changing xmp profiles but this hasnt worked. What is wrong? Thank you

    Fan controllers

Hi. I recently built my new computer but my (ITX) motherboard only has 3 fan headers. One of these is taken by a motherboard cooling fan, the other CPU fan leaving me with one fan header to drive my case exhaust fan and my 2 radiator fans. I am currently using a 1-3 splitter for the fan header but i would like more control over my fan speed as it is kinda loud. Are there any fan controllers/hubs which i could use. The fans are not RGB. I have found https://www.overclockers.co.uk/corsair-rgb-fan-hub-controller-black-fg-06k-cs.html https://www.overclockers.co.uk/phanteks-universal-pwm-fan-hub-black-ca-08x-pt.html I do not have much space in my case so more than 3 headers is unnecessary. Thank you very much Xiopop
  12. thank you. I have now bought and built the system 550W PSU.
  13. Thank you, managed to get it below 1300 thanks to your suggestions.
  14. Thank you very much. Pc part picker says this system will draw 394W, with a 3600 it is 364W. I went for a 750W because I thought I might upgrade but if i could reduce this to 650 then that would be perfect. Thank you for your help.
  15. Hi, I am currently using a laptop which is not fast enough for the games I play (struggles in CS GO 1080p). I am thinking of upgrading to a new system on a maximum budget of £1300. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/rny88M I will using the system for gaming (i am looking to get into more games), Data processing and day to day work. I plan on running a 1440p monitor in the future, i only have a 1080p at the moment. I have all peripherals at the moment. I also plan on using my brand new SSD from my laptop (1tb samsung 860 EVO) I have chosen Mini ITX because it will be easiest to transport if i need to take it home from University (I understand that computers are not the best to be driven assembled so i plan to find out more about transporting them) I have not used my Laptop as a laptop for more than a year which is why i have decided not to get another one (i have a chromebook if i need a portable laptop) Wifi is an important feature that i need The mother board is expensive but I can not find a cheaper one which will not require a BIOS update with my CPU (help here would be great) Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thank you very much in advance. 20. that is why I posted in windows topic as well. I consider it to be more of a trouble shooting though
  21. I updated to the latest version of windows 10 the other day and ever since my PC has been slower and slower at posting. Today it as not posted at all. Why? I have a laptop with an i7 4730HQ a GTX 960m and 8GB of Kingston ram. When I press the power button backlighting on my keyboard comes on but that is it even if I connect to power. Last thing is that the fans spin up to full RPM and the air coming out of them is hot. I have tried swapping out the ram and I still have the same problem. Do any of you have this same problem?
  22. that MOBO only has 1 system fan header. The MSI B150M PRO-VDH has 2 system fan headers.
  23. What MOBO do you reccomend?
  24. thanks I will change that I did not know how many case fans the case came with
