  1. Hey wonderful people, My PC is due for an upgrade and haven't been following the PC market lately. I need assistance looking for a GPU that: - Gets consistent 60+fps (bonus if it gets closer to 100fps+) Max details w/current system - less than $500 CAD (New/Used and flexible with price) - I plan to play the following games: PUBattlegrounds, Overwatch, Quake Champions, GTA 5 Current Specs: 144hz Asus Monitor, AMD FX-8320, Gigabyte Windforce AMD 7950 (one fan stopped spinning/stuck but still works), G.Skill 1600Mhz 8GB RAM Additional Notes: - I would like to know if its worth upgrading the whole system to achieve constant 100fps+ - I hope to get VR eventually, but that is likely after this year Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated!
  2. I fell in love with optical mice after I got the naos 7000. The final mouse looks like something just up my alley for competitive csgo
  3. I assume you're considering the monitor for gaming. Therefore in my opinion it depends on the games you play that determine what monitor you get. Do you play competitive first person shooters? If so, a 144hz monitor is definitely worth the investment based on my experience. Everything is much smoother and responsive at 144hz compared to 60hz. Otherwise 60hz is sufficient for most other gaming genres and will save you a bit more money to put towards your rig.

  5. I would have upgrade my parts to the intel x99 platform. Then I can have the best CPU out of all my buddies!
  6. I took a graphic design class in highschool which helped me with the basics of photoshop. If you're a student and need an easy credit do that lol. But how I learned (and still learning) is to just think of an idea and try and create it! mess around and create all kinds of fun images and soon enough you'd get to know the program really well.
  7. lol I usually have sound really low or off anyway for MM. but this way is pretty cool too
  8. How well would these perform in CSGO? I currently have the HD558's but the low cost of these intrigue me to getting a second pair of heaphones/headset
  9. I guess getting 4gb instead of 8 would save me quite a bit.. but for moderate gaming an i3 vs a8 7600?
  10. Fixed sorry lol Yeah thank you so far for the suggestions! They are helping me quite a bit I do really prefer having an apu over a cpu since the 6850 will be sold because its technically not mine (updated the original post).
  11. Finally decided to get rid of digital cable once and for all! I plan to build a nice HTPC in the living room for the family. I plan to use it mainly for streaming and possible light gaming. It needs to be small and compact but under $500. Keep in mind I will be throwing an HD6850 I have lying around BUT it will be sold in the future... therefore an apu would be needed once it sold. Must haves are a wireless keyboard and wifi (preferably 802.11ac). This is what I came up with so far http://pcpartpicker.com/p/FkV623 Any suggestions? The cheaper the better. P.S anyone have experience with streaming Golf? possibly through xbmc...My dad only watches golf and I wish to make it easy for him to navigate to a golf stream.
  12. FIrst time I saw LinusTechTips was when I was building my first pc back in 2012. Ever since then I've been subscribed which helped me build my knowledge and passion for computers. Also I like how the contest ends on my birthday Any of these prizes would be one sweet birthday gift!
