People who have a red colour scheme for their PC are just kids.

Also people who use RGB for anything other than a static colour are just as "immature"....

    lmao no

some people don't like the idea of "Mod" and they just gonna get the 50 bucks bluetooth earphone

Sentryy reacted to BuckGup in Purpose of Overclocking? hobby and/or pratical?
It's practical up to a point. When you start using dry ice, LN2, or a custom loop just for OCing then the cost to performance goes out the window. I personally enjoy it more then gaming. I think it is the combinations of frequencies and voltages, suspense and the little number that is higher then other people's little number that helps justify in your head spending $900 more is worth the extra 200mhz or 12 frames

Sorry, but the limit exists for a reason, and it's not technically possible for us to override it. If you make some constructive posts to help people out though, it shouldn't take you too long to reach the limit, though don't spam to get there.

Sentryy reacted to Quaker in What is the highest GPU the Q6600 can stretch to?
Any GPU you want. Of course at some point, your Q6600 is going to be the factor that limits your performance, but that doesn't mean the you have to limit your GPU choice - especially if you intend to upgrade your CPU in the near future.

Of course, realistically, it wouldn't make sense to spend $600 on a graphics card without spending some of that money on a better CPU.

Actually, you be better off getting an i5-6500 and a B150 motherboard and using the i5's IGP, then getting any GPU to use with a Q6600.

That is not a bad price for the z50. At that price it would be 415~ US, or 500 CAD.

Windows 8 and up does it natively through the OS. But you can force run it by opening up disk defragment and optimize the SSD.
Windows 7 does not optimize, it defrags, so don't do it under Windows 7. For this, it needs to use the SSD software that comes with it.

Yes, I though that you were talking about the whole card. But that is a rip off for just the cooler, if it was the full card it would be a good deal though. I saw the coolers for 50$ before though. I would get a second hand 770, 780, or 970 reference. As the 60 class cards don't have the aluminium coolers. But the 770/780/970 all have them. You might be able to find a 690 if you look hard enough. (I liked the 690 cooler best)

Also if your experiment is to swap the ACX and the reference cooler around, It will work. And if you get a 980 reference you can also SLI it with your 970 ACX 2.0.
