ram speeds don't matter too much but you're still going to see performance increase with bios updates -
Either that or I go in tomorrow and demand (polite) that they but it back and move the warranty over and give me a discount on one of these hp spectre (refurbished)

you might want to wait for bios updates because amd pushed ryzen 7 out prematurely (the motherboard manufacterer couldn't make everything perfect first ) -

65c is under the operating temperature (85c~) so you're fine. If you want better temps add another radiator -
So this all starts almost 2 weeks ago on Wednesda, 22nd. My Lenovo yoga 3 pro's charging jack broke, okay I bought the 1 Year Accidental Damage Warranty. I bring it in the day after, all is well so far. About a week later on Wednesday March 19th I get a call saying my laptop is fixed and ready to be picked up. I go in on the 20th and pick it up, I notice there were scratches on the case that were not there when I dropped it off. I spoke with a manager, and the next day I got a call from the Service manager and he asked me to bring it in so he can take a look. Friday night I go to use it for the first time, guess what the charging jack still isn't working and has the same issue. At this point I am super pissed because, they not only mishandled my stuff but they didn't even fix what was wrong. I go in on Saturday, the manager says that he'll do what he can about the scratches but now he's going to need to send it in to the manufacturer to get fixed, but they might just decide to buy it back. It is Tuesday night right now and I am going to call in to see what they're going to do because I need a laptop by the end of next week because I am going on a vacation and need a laptop for that. I picked out 3 laptops to look at if they decide to buy it back,if they do I also expect they'll move the warranty which has about 6 months left on it that I bought for the laptop that broke(charging jack, easy fix) and they failed to fix and handle properly. Has anyone had to deal with something like this at a Micro center or Best Buy? What did they offer to do for you? Just kind of looking for advice on what to do because I've been 2 weeks(and counting) without a laptop.

yeah it was a cable one they claimed to have replaced it and that it was working it wasn't working though so not sure they have replaced it -

I had paid a lot of attention to this but you may be correct. There's no excuse for them claiming to fix it and it not being fixed. The paper even said "Part replaced, device charging without needing to adjust cable constantly" -

I gave the adapter with the laptop. The scratches legitimately weren't there and the manager said he would try to get them out as best he could. He also said, worst case he does a warranty buyout. -

Fx-9590 with a gtx 1070 vs a r7 1700 with a rx 480?
Sentryy replied to NSDUO's topic in New Builds and Planning
or wait for the 5 series and get a 1070 or a 6gb 1060 and spend about the same -

It was an issue that started after about 5.75 months and would not stop It was the power jack not working and only working at a weird angle and if you touched the laptop or moved the screen it would stop charging With the issue, the laptop is unusable -

The scratches are a small deal to me (they bother me a lot but I can get over it) But then they didn't even fix the issue which it was brought in for It was a warranty repair and I should have taken pictures prior to bringing it in (and it was an open box which the guy mentioned on the phone, even though there were no scratches when i bought it there is no proof there isn't) -

Well, it turns out that the part that was supposed to be fixed was not in fact fixed either So they didn't fix my laptop at all they just made the problems worse with the scratches -
I think it might be good to use it to measure some things Like maybe will my case fit a 2.5slot card? Will I be able to use the 4x slot under if I use the 2.5slot cooler?

I forgot to unfortunately. After the fact I thought I should because I almost saw it coming -
I wanted to ask a few questions about the micro center "accidental damage warranty" I know someone on here was / is an employee at one of the stores or if someone has had the issue I am having and how it worked out for them I just got my laptop repaired at micro center as part of the accidental damage warranty I bought. Will the warranty still be valid after that repair? (was the power jack) But, when I got the laptop back and was putting it into the box I noticed about 4 or 5 scratches on the case which were not there when I dropped it off, there were also another 3 or 4 scratches on the bottom of the laptop. I spoke to a manager and he took down my information so the Servicing manager can call me tomorrow. Has this happened to anyone else before and what did they do? Did they just apologize or did they offer to fix it? I will update the thread or post below how it goes when I get the call tomorrow from the service manager. I am meeting with the service manager tomorrow to discuss because the part that was supposed to be fixed still is having issues (haven't told them yet) and that they damaged the cosmetics of the laptop
