KnightTim's Achievements

  1. If you're rooted on android you can use AccA on fdroid to control charging on most phones without any external hardware. Some Android OEMs even build in similar, though less robust features. For example Sony has a battery care feature, which includes an option to limit charging to 80%. I believe you should also be able to automate something similar to chargie with Tasker and a smart outlet.
  2. I'm second guessing myself, yesterday I got picked for the Newegg shuffle and bought an XFX RX 6600xt for $400 (USD) before tax and shipping. My plan is to sell my current GPU, an MSI RTX 2060 for $550. I realize that $400 for a "mid-tier" GPU is not good value. But in my case I have a GPU that is currently going for more on ebay, so I figured it's kind of a "free" upgrade. But now I'm having second thoughts, did I make a mistake buying a RX 6600xt?
  3. I really wish they would have tested a standard Windows 8.1 install. Also I'm trying to figure out if it would be worth it to use Embedded 8.1 for my next install as I have a key through my MSDN subscription from work.
  4. I exported the full Windows registry from one computer and imported it on another... I'm still surprised that the 2nd computer even booted, I had to reinstall Windows XP on the computer The 2nd biggest would be trying to install my mobo in my first build without stand-offs, I got lucky and nothing was damaged.
  5. I'm interested in the Kiro, the modular design would be nice.
  6. I'm interested in a small system, either for a media center or just somehting that could be hidden away at a desk.
  7. I haven't used any of their products, but the keyboard looks really nice, I have been wanting to try out a mechcanical keyboard for awhile now.
