Hey all, I am looking for a laptop for around $700 Canadian. I have a pc so this would not be my main computer however I would still like it to be powerful enough. I am a 5th year (coop) software engineering student and will be graduating in April. The main reason I want a laptop is for programming and web browsing. This for me means I would like it to be powerful enough to run one or two virtual boxes and I also would like it to be easy to have it dual boot to Linux. If anymore info is needed I will be happy to provide it. Also as cyber Monday/black Friday are just around the corner if you have suggestion that are a higher priced but I could keep a look out for on those days then let me know!

Hey guys, my friend is doing graphics and motion desgin and was about to buy a 3000 dollar mac but me and my buddy convinced him to go the PC route. His buget is around 2000 dollars and im just wondering which graphics card would best suit his needs. I was thinking a quadro may suit his need well but i just dont know much about them. Also I know this isnt the right forum but if you have any suggestions on cpu's that would be awesome too! Any help would be awesome! *EDIT: His buget for the whole pc is 2000, not just for the GPU, thats my bad

I know linus has mentioned that they havent done any unboxings lately and mentioned that no one has made a comment about it but I'm sure I'm not the only one that misses unboxings! However if I am feel free to let me know haha.

Hello all I am currently trying to transfer data from one of my internal drives to the other however i am getting transfer speed of 1.7 MB/s. I know this cannot be normal but I do not no why it is happening any help would be much appreciated

I am looking to buy one of these three SSD's. I am wondering which is the best option and I am fine spending the money on the 840 pro if it is worth the extra cost. Thanks for the help
