  1. Give them some time, just been announced Guess it has to do with the vendor. My 3 year old Canon is already supported. But if your old printers aren't supported, this simply wont affect you. Use the available drivers. Just the nature of the beast.
  2. Think we already covered this conversation in another topic. Super vague, all encompassing bullshit made to be able to minupulate. But your comment was not used in the context of that silly act. Your wording was "property of", not owning. I used 'owning' in that context.
  3. Ouch, my brain This is a false statement. Tencent has some shares in Discord but def doesnt own it in any way, shape or form.
  4. No, this is your personal opinion. Saying others dont get it, is not quite correct, especially on speculitive topics. I suggest you broaden your views and take time to see other's views. Unless you are talking hard facts.
  5. Why are people still buying anything from Nintendon't beats me. They havn't produced any games that I would classify as 'good' since the early 2000's with an exception here and there.
  6. It's not. It's more like dual channel on a single dimm. Not DDRDDR Theoretically, dual-channel configurations double the memory bandwidth when compared to single-channel configurations. This should not be confused with double data rate (DDR) memory, which doubles the usage of DRAM bus by transferring data both on the rising and falling edges of the memory bus clock signals.
  7. DDRDDR? QDR. I swear, these news article titles are getting closer and closer to Youtube clickbait bullshit.
  8. Why don’t they just store the data in satellites? 16TB is really not that much, we already have 100TB SSD and 200TB is coming soon. Not sure why you can’t simply have a few of those in a satellite (with plenty of redundancy) and once it is outdated, launch a new one. This would solve most of the issues.
  9. I'm sure there is more to it but seems like there is a lot of open endedness to it and can include nearly any large company which does not sit well with me. This will be abused by politicians, other companies and law enforcement.
  10. This explains all of it. The nail was in the coffin at this stage by the sound of things, before he engaged with the bot. Not entirely sure that the two are correlated. It kind of is the man's fault but I don't think he is to blame. I've been there. When you want to end your life, help is the last thing you want. He probably did speak to loads of people and might even be on medication, none of this helped me in any significant way. You need to talk to a professional regularly BEFORE you get to this point. Healthy lifestyle is the second best thing you can do but also the hardest thing to do when you are utterly depressed and dont want to go on. Your body feels like its filled with lead, you have intense emotional (and sometimes physical) pain and feel like there is no point in persevering as you will be fighting this battle everyday for the rest of your life. It's super difficult; most poeple don't realise this part. Unfortunatelly most of the world does not care about mental health. Most public health schemes and private health insurances do not cover mental health. In Australia, I pay about $250 per session, 2 sessions per month. Can't imagine poeple living on the breadline, who needs these services the most, being able to pay for this out of pocket.
  11. Some game studios that Tencent has majority stake in: Fatshark (Warhammer Vermintide and Darktide) Klei (Don't Starve, Oxygen not included) Grinding Gear (Path of Exile) Funcom (Conan Exiles, Dune Awakening, Dune Spice Wars, Metal: Hellsinger) Turtle Rock Studios (Back 4 Blood) Riot Games (LOL) I cant see how much stake Tencent owns in Discord but seems to be minority stake i.e. <50%, likely quite a bit less.
  12. Does anybody have a clear definition of "services ran by" seems a bit vague and I dont have time to read and unpack the whole bill. Owned ≠ ran by, or not neccesarily.
  13. They havnt writtent anything worth my time in a long while (that I can think of). Think they are just shitting themselves as they can see the writing on the wall.
  14. Does piracy etc not get checked in game more than in launcher? I'm, sure the launcher does some rudemanetary checks to see if the account owns the game but not too sure about the rest of it. Some games even has their own launcher (Gaijin games, EFT, LOL etc) which does work okay. Not sure why these big players such as EA and Epic makes these horrible launchers.
  15. Imangine trying to produce (publish but they do have a lot of control over development) games if you cant even get a simple app right. I've had countless issues with the transition from Origin to EA app. I still get a little irate whenever I have to use that damned thing. I've stopped installing EA games from Xbox Gamepass due to the fact that it uses tha app and 8/10 times it doesn't work.
  16. I still think the problem is not the connector per se but the amount of power they are delivering through those teeny plugs/wires. They flew too close to the sun with that design and now the wax is melting. I'm still of the opinion that the cards are simply too power hungry and that's why we needed so many 8pin connectors on a single card that it started looking stupid and nobody stopped to think why it looked stupid. It looked stupid because it was absurd that a consume class GPU was pulling that much power!
  17. There are already multiple laws in place in most countries that prohibit impersonation of another person. For instance, in the US, Section 53a-130 criminalizes impersonation, while in Australia, the CRIMINAL CODE 1899 - SECT 514 deals with impersonation, and in the UK, the Fraud Act 2006 (FA 2006) addresses impersonation, among others. The severity of the penalties imposed for impersonation varies based on who is being impersonated. In the US, for example, impersonating a US citizen carries even more severe consequences. However, before prosecuting those who impersonate others, law enforcement agencies need to catch them first. Unfortunately, many law enforcement agencies still rely on outdated methods, which can hinder their ability to apprehend impersonators.
  18. "they rushed to several banks to get cash and sent the lawyer the money through a bitcoin terminal" People need to know (be educated) that anyone asking for money via crypto or gift cards is 99.9% likely to be a scam. This really should be general knowledge unfortunatelly the majority of people out there is not aware of this simple fact. Fun fact, in Australia, they've scammed businesses to pay money into a different bank account and yet the police are unable to find these people or freeze the account. They 'are aware' of bad actors using this account but simply let it go. No wonder Asutralia is one of the top countries for scammers.
  19. I always thought that art would be the last thing AI takes over. Very surprised seeing that it seems to be some of the first things that it is getting rather good at. I know this is nothing new, but didnt see this one coming.
