  1. If the SteamVR part is true, which it appears to be since I found a preview program, WMR might be on its way to success here. I'd still wait for some actual reviews of the thing in games and whatnot.
  2. I was in a similar situation and currently use the G102. It's a great mouse and I've not found it lacking in any way. Just putting it out if you're looking to save some cash since you mentioned it.
  3. I think you agreed with the opposite point I was trying to make though. I would go for the Oculus/Vive over the WMR even today. I feel like the resolution increase is pretty minimal. As for tracking, I haven't tried it personally but I don't see it coming close to that of the VIve or even the slightly inferior Oculus. Even those are not foolproof and they use 2-3 sensors. How could the WMR do better without them? And then there's the forcing of Windows Store (UWP) apps vs. something like SteamVR. All of this is mere speculation though since only a very small audience has gotten a chance to try WMR.
  4. So I've got my eyes on the Masterbox Lite 5 RGB that comes with 3 RGB fans. I have an Ivy Bridge era i5 3300 + Intel motherboard though so lighting it up through a motherboard header is out of question. I noticed in a thread where @W-L replied that Cooler Master RGB fans basically have SMD5050 LEDs inside of them. Theoretically, that should mean they have a standard LED strip pin-out and I can make a custom Arduino-based controller for this. Would I be right in making this assumption? There's no way I can get a Cooler Master branded controller in my country for less than $100 so I'm not looking for that as a solution. Thank you.
  5. I'd say buying an Oculus Rift would be a better option for that price point. Considering the number of free stuff and available content there is on the Rift, not to mention the great Roomscale, the WMR is nowhere even close.
  6. Definitely like them headphones, probably because I haven't used one that remotely looks as good as those.
