  1. Informative
SubbyDew reacted to mariushm in Is it fine to wipe my laptop's screen with 91% isopropyl alcohol
That's basically around 70% isopropyl alcohol +  distilled water + perfume + sometimes around < 0.5% very mild detergent
In more expensive solutions they add they add anti-static chemicals (so your glass won't get dust on it so fast) and some preservatives

DON'T use regular glass cleaners. Sometimes they have added detergents and surfactants that can damage the filters applied on the LCD screen.  Screen cleaning sprays and solutions are milder and safe, but still worth checking the ingredients. If you see detergents in significant amounts, avoid them.

Isopropyl alcohol is a fairly mild solvent, even at 99% purity it's not powerful enough to attack the plastic layers over the screen. Just use some microfiber cloth, place a few drops on the microfiber cloth and clean the screen in straight vertical moves, top to bottom and left to right. No round circles and all that crap, it's not rocket science.

SubbyDew got a reaction from xl3b4n0nx in How to fix Update_Core?
Seems like it might be an issue with their servers as you can manually download other cores ie. Core_21 (http://cores.foldingathome.org/Win32/AMD64/NVIDIA/Fermi/beta/Core_21.fah) but if you try to manually download the a7 core (http://cores.foldingathome.org/Win32/x86/AVX/Core_a7.fah) you get a 404 error.
