Using 1 of the 14TB drives for the parity and the 1TB SSD for the Cache Usage: Primarily gets used for media storage and streaming, with some data backup. Additional info: Replaced the case fans with Noctuas and got these air ducts https://www.tindie.com/products/patshead/cooling-fan-duct-for-silverstone-ds380b-case/ to help with the airflow to better cool the HDDs Eventually plan to get a proper rack mounted data storage server with a lot more drive bays and add a bunch more drives, but that is still a long while down the track. 2. So with this, I would be able to have all my data on a ZFS array for faster performance due to the raid and still have all my docker containers access that ZFS array without any issue just as if it was a normal unraid array?
  3. I usually do VPN into my network to access stuff locally but for the OMBI container, my other users access that via a domain to request media. And the Plex-Meta-Manager creates collections, ie. action, comedy etc. and collections for specific movie studios, disney, sony, etc and best of 2020 for example.
  4. Hey guys, I'm looking to get some advice on future expansions of my server, and where to go in terms of hardware, software, etc. I currently have an unRaid server built with some slightly older parts, which has 100TB of RAW storage with 84TB usable and I have so far used 53TB of that. The primary use is for media and data storage and streaming via PLEX to multiple remote users, I may possibly want to use Nextcloud as well. I would also like to run some game servers from time to time, which is easy with docker containers in unRaid. I also have a reverse proxy setup for access to certain docker containers from outside my LAN. I have attached an image of all the docker containers I currently use so you can get an idea. I have looked into changing to FreeNAS/TrueNAS for better performance and larger storage in the future, etc. but my main issue is that everything on my sever runs in docker containers which TrueNAS doesn't use and I just want to make sure I can run everything relatively easily the same with TrueNAS. I have also looked into 45Drives systems for this as well. Any advise on how to do this, or maybe to keep this current server just for the docker game servers and odd things etc. and just use a new TrueNAS system for the media/data storage and PLEX streaming. Any help is greatly appreciated.
  5. Seems like it might be an issue with their servers as you can manually download other cores ie. Core_21 (http://cores.foldingathome.org/Win32/AMD64/NVIDIA/Fermi/beta/Core_21.fah) but if you try to manually download the a7 core (http://cores.foldingathome.org/Win32/x86/AVX/Core_a7.fah) you get a 404 error.
  6. I would love to have this as I am looking at creating a FreeNAS system and would love to use it as a cache drive. Other than that everyone deserves to have an SSD at least as a boot drive to experience real computing.
  7. Man, those aria headphones look amazing. What an awesome finish they have with the Japanese pine wood, and by what they say about them it seems like they might sound just as good as they look.
