I didn't read the entire guide line by line, more so 3/4 of it, but it is super informative and I enjoyed reading it.

this is how my current miner looks, 2 7950 in a corsair air 540. Soon I will be expanding though to a miner that isn't in a case.

in case you were wondering the fan is normally facing directly into the case, but that would be in the way of a good picture

yes I did, but I also figured that since it seems that a fair number of people that are on here live in the UK/Europe that it would also be beneficial to ask them since they live there.
Besides that they might know about some places that are still interesting but do not show up on the popular tourist guides at the top of google

I also have two rigs, one just for mining that runs 24/7, and one for gaming that mines while I'm not using it.

When I bought my new card (280x for mining) it was between the asus and msi, the msi was out of stock, although that was the one I was leaning towards. I ended up getting the asus dcuii and am quite happy with it. It is quieter and cooler than my sapphire 7950 dual x cards. Hopefully in the future ill pick up a msi tf2 280/90 and then i can directly compare the two coolers.

The way I see it is that the NSA overstepped the bounds with the secret rubber stamp courts and the hacking into private data pipes, like google and whoever else they got into.
But the book 1984 also comes to mind as they slowly push the boundary further and further.

Sure I have nothing to hide since I don't do anything wrong, but I don't want the gov't to get worse and more corrupt/dictatorship like etc.

I also just remembered that I am running at int 13 I think. As for the dcuII I really like it, the large heat pipe really does carry alot of heat, enough that if I touch it and keep holding it I think I might burn myself. I have a custom fan profile in msi afterburner and with the room being around 73f - 72 it runs about 74*C at 74% fan. Although those temps are with the side panel off of the case and the intake fan in front of it reversed so its exhaust. I took the side panel off since it heats up the rest of my components(mainly hdd is what I care about,).
I was originally going to get a twin frozr but they were out of stock and this cam in stock, couldn't be happier, except maybe if the shroud didn't vibrate at specific fan %'s (63% & 82ish%, other than that it's pretty quiet).

While this might seem a bit tame/lame compared to some of the other amazing build on here, I figured I would make a log of it anyways.

What I have decided to do is build a milk crate miner so that I can hopefully stop relying on my main gaming pc for all the virtual money making, and allow me to keep all the noise and heat in another room.

    Parts:
more or less whats here http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2cS6V
    CPU- AMD A10-5800K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor
MOBO- MSI FM2-A85XA-G43 ATX FM2 Motherboard
    RAM- G.Skill 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3-1333 Memory
GPU- MSI Radeon R9 280X 3GB Video Card (When it comes back into stock) X 3
PSU- SeaSonic X Series 1250W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (When it comes back into stock)
HDD- some random thumb drive I got off NewEgg since I'm planning on running linux, if not I have an old laptop hdd I will use.
    Case- Milk Crate

The finished product should look something like this:

as with how the other build logs normally go, I think, I'll update this as parts arrive and I build them.

edit 12/2/13 Haven't decided if I'll run ubuntu or just use and old copy of win 7 32 bit that I ordered on accident a couple years ago

edit 12/9/13 Parts are finally arriving. I didn't find the the risers in the mail until after I had assembled the pc

edit 12/12/13, Finally took some pic of the "finished" rig and the process of putting it together
The rest of the parts finally arrived

just having some fun with the cammera

I must say that the pacjaging on the DCU 3 really impressed me, it was quite nice (compared to my sappire cards)

I am by no means a great photographer, just playing with the camera and the macro setting

Test fit in the crate so I can do some more testing before putting the risers in

PSU won't fit inside the crate, this should work

    pretty much done for now

I'm in about the same boat, the mining rig i'm building will probably just run till something dies, then I'll replace it and it'll run some more. Now if only newegg would ship the parts and get the other parts I need back in stock

I have used coin o tron and Give-me-coins and I can say Give-me-coins is the one I like better out of the two. They have a nice little stat tracking graph too that tracks your miners rate and gives an average.

just out of curiosity, how is the AU health care system funded? Taxes? or do you just pay into it like insurance?

See, I like that. It offers a choice. Be a part of public healthcare and pay the extra taxes for it, or go private.
I wish we had that. Right now, I have two options:
    1. Get healthcare through my job and pay a very high premium (for my paycheck, and I'm not on minimum wage, but I'm close).

    2. Don't have healthcare and get a very high fine (over $1,000 or something crazy like that) at tax time each year.
The funny thing is: Going option 2 is cheaper, monthly/yearly, than option 1. Except I don't get healthcare and am basically burning money.
It's absurd. And that is Obama's healthcare plan btw. That is how I'm directly affected by it (along with my 50 co-workers).

I won't disagree with cancer treatment being ridiculously and excessively expensive and that people should have it. On that note everything in health care just costs too much. In my opinion there is no way to easily fix the system without commuting political suicide, which nobody is going to do.
