HoneyBooBoo reacted to ErlBane in Weird/unknown peripherals and stuff
Anyone knowing about some weird peripherals the world needs to know about, post it here
you can also ask if some random image with a peripheral is actually for sale somewhere on the web, for example, I can ask if this product (see image)is for commercial sale anywhere
Good luck fellow carbon-based living organisms!

HoneyBooBoo got a reaction from Lurick in Is it legit website
Seems like a nice website but there's some really stupid grammatical mistakes like spelling "Black and White" as "Blank and White" and spelling "Orange" as "Range" as well as the prices being stupidly cheap to the point where if it is legit, they would be losing money. I'd say just go and try some other websites or build your own pc.

HoneyBooBoo got a reaction from Walt in Laptop for my grandma...
Does she need a laptop, or could a cheap AIO PC work for her? It would be more portable than a PC if she's just moving it around the house especially if you get a cheap wireless keyboard/mouse and would have alot of screen real estate.

HoneyBooBoo reacted to Schakal_No1 in What pair of headphones are the best? (Under $100)
no that's fine. I just would not use them on the bus or in the library next to someone.

HoneyBooBoo got a reaction from Anassagora69 in 60hz over 144hz is it worth it?
You can DEFINITELY tell the difference between 60hz and 144hz. On NCIX there's a video of the 'average gamer' trying to tell the difference and another with Linus trying to tell the difference. If you're into serious gaming then I would go with a 144hz monitor but if you're just a filthy casual 60hz will be fine. Also you probably heard that information from a console peasant who says you don't need more than 30fps.

HoneyBooBoo got a reaction from Mira Yurizaki in is this a good pc ?
Here is a better list then
If they still feel like they need a optical drive, they could go for a different case or just get an external optical drive.

HoneyBooBoo reacted to SLAYR in Question: AMD FX-4350 vs. Intel Core i5-6500
The AMD one, is a five year old design, it is ancient, basically the same as comparing a q6600 to an i5 6500,
More GHz != better performance, the intel cpu has a lot better IPC making it a lot better.

HoneyBooBoo got a reaction from Blackhole890 in is this a good pc ?
Instead of going with an overprice prebuilt, I would definitely recommend building your own computer, it's a great experience and much cheaper.
Here's a system you could build for the same price that's better than either or the two you showed.

HoneyBooBoo reacted to tomaatvk in is this a good pc ?
The 8GB of RAM and the 120GB SSD size is a little small but besides that it could do as a gaming rig, however, that prebuilt has a 6700k and an H110 motherboard, which doesn't make any sense, that build is broken AF.

HoneyBooBoo reacted to Falkentyne in Free Upgrade! (I apparently have a 75 Hz monitor?)
Many 60hz monitors are not limited to 60hz. That's just an official specification. What you will find is that many 60hz monitors are actually limited by the SINGLE LINK DVI SPECIFICATION which is 1920x1080@76hz, which is also what HDMI 1.4 is usually limited to (some HDMI TDMS chips in monitors can run 1920x1080@120hz, but most are only specified to run 1920x1080@75hz maximum, same limits as single link DVI). By patching the DVI or HDMI limits, you may be able to exceed even this limit.
my 5 year old 60hz laptop's screen can run at 100hz, by creating a custom 1920x1080 resolution. 120hz is a nogo...screen starts sparkling and shows artifacts.

HoneyBooBoo reacted to Aytex in Need help with choosing i5
Consider you have to get a z170 motherboard and a decent cpu cooler to compliment the 6600k, I say if money is an issue 6500
If not and you can shell out the extra cash for the worth performance, than 6600k

If that's the issue then it would indeed fix it. Test that theory with a multimeter in continuity mode first though.

HoneyBooBoo reacted to asand1 in Who has the worst current pc specs?
I would like to give away an HP M2N68-LA motherboard with 8GB DDR2 and a Phenom 7950 quad core. I will pay shipping within the US myself, but I will only give it to a person with a really low end PRIMARY machine. So, anyone with an old single core machine who would like a more modern quad core post pics of what you're running. Please don't post if you can afford to buy your own. I'm sorry, but I just can't afford shipping outside the US.

HoneyBooBoo got a reaction from mapegl in i3 6100 or i5 6400?
I would definitely say that you should go for the i5-6500, many games are starting to stop support for dual core processors, meaning that your i3 simply won't be able to run games. The i5-6500 is also much better than the i5-6400 because that there's an extra 500mhz (I know it doesn't work like that) per core for an extra $20. I'd honestly save up a few days longer and get the i5-6500 and a 1060.
Also there are no 4gb 1060's so I'm assuming you mean 3gb.
