I decided to delid my 6700k and here are my results.
My cooler is the noctua d15s.
Before temps running prime95 max heat:
core0: 91c
core1: 92c
core2: 91c
core3: 91c
After delid with noctua nt-h1 tim:
core0: 83c
core1: 86c
core2: 81c
core3: 82c
This is how i applied the paste:
Looks like intel uses pretty trashy stuff.
I've noticed the core difference is bigger i reapplied the tim on the die one more time to make sure it wasn't my fault and got the same results.
It's not as scary as people say it is, in my opinion it's worth it.
