C2dan88 got a reaction from PDifolco in RTX 3070 Running at PCIe x1 3.0 No Matter What I do
Look at the pci traces bottom of the card. Make sure they are no damage on the gold fingers.
What mobo you using? Does it have second pci-e slot.
If you can see nothing wrong, try the card in another motherboard/another pc. If you have same issue return card for refund or send for rma the card is damaged.

You have an unidentified device for
Network adapter USB device. What is the pci id for these?
Try installing the lan/wifi driver for your board. Also try updating the amd chipset driver from amd site too.

To clone a vm in hyper-v you export it then reimport it as a copy.

C2dan88 got a reaction from Needfuldoer in Cannot format storage device in disk partition (volume not showing up)
Windows cannot read linux partitions. I would use linux live usb to format the drive first then try installing windows/atlas to new partition

C2dan88 got a reaction from david_croft98 in Can't download drivers/utility from asus page
Can confirm ASUS support site is acting a bit wired for me too. Drivers tab appears on first load, but does not list any drivers. Soon as I click on another tab (cpu/ram supprt, faq, warrenty etc) it removes the drivers tab entirely.

In Task Manager check what startup apps are set to autorun. Disable all, then one at a time renable and login/out of/restart windows.
Also remove any files listed in %APPDATA%\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Fast boot is a bios setting. If are wanting to dual boot with linux then you wont have fast startup in windows.

I would install Win11 to a new drive. Then copy over what you need from the old drive.and format it for extra storage.

C2dan88 got a reaction from DriedSponge in Planning on dual boot Linux & Windows, any thing I should know?
Install windows first, then disconnect you windows drive while you install linux.
After reconnect your windows drive. If you want to use grub bootloader for choosing which os to boot rather then booting bios. Then set linux drive as first boot device. Login to linux and update grub.
Otherwise use bios choose which os to boot.
No need to worry about Windows messing with linux at all. Only when windows shares a drive with linux you will find the bootloader is overwritten. On seperate drive booth os is self contained
Linux can read NTFS without a problem.

C2dan88 got a reaction from DriedSponge in Planning on dual boot Linux & Windows, any thing I should know?
Still disconnect the drive, while you install linux. That way you can be safe you do not accidentally erase windows and more importantly both os has their own boot partition/loader.
