I would remove the cpu cooler entirely so you can get better access with your finger/screw driver to release the clip.

I would install Win11 to  a new drive. Then copy over what you need from the old drive.and format it for extra storage.

Install windows first, then disconnect you windows drive while you install linux.

After reconnect your windows drive.  If you want to use grub bootloader for choosing which os to boot rather then booting bios. Then set linux drive as first boot device. Login to linux and update grub.

Otherwise use bios choose which os to boot.
No need to worry about Windows messing with linux at all. Only when windows shares a drive with linux you will find the bootloader is overwritten. On seperate drive booth os is self contained

Linux can read NTFS without a problem.

Still disconnect the drive, while you install linux. That way you can be safe you do not accidentally erase windows and more importantly both os has their own boot partition/loader.

Forum has saved your post in your browsers local storage. Try deleting it by opening developer tools (Ctrl+Shift+I)
Click Application tab > select Local Storage then select linustectips.com. You should see a bunch of keys and values listed delete any row for editor or attachments.

Right click the icon in the system tray, unchecked "Hide when minimised". Left click the notification icon to restore outlook. When you next minimise it should stay open in the taskbar.

It is showing the error as it trying to download/install 32bit version which does not exist. You may need to specify 64bit architecture in the apt config file for the brave repository.

Need to also remove the sublime repo from sources.list.d. Or use synaptic package manger to remove third party repositories.

MS does allow you to undo the upgrade but only within 30 days. After this period the backup is automatically removed.

When clean reinstalling I always backup my Windows user folder. After reinstalling my software I then only copy over the files to restore settings/game saves.

SATA drives require two cables, a sata power cable from the PSU and a SATA data cable to the motherboard.

Brand new drives require formatting before they are seen in windows. Open Disk Managment and right click the unallocated space and click format from the context menu.

When reinstalling click "I dont have a key" when it asks for license when reinstalling windows. Windows will reactive itself once you have connected to the internet.
This will work whether you use a MS account or a local account.

C2dan88 got a reaction from Protomesh in Fans and fan hub connections
The hub does not power all 6 fans from the mobo fan header, it will use a SATA power connector to power the hub. The fan header will be used to "copy" the pwm signal from the motherboard so all 6 fans run at the same speed.
