  1. ...so... I reset the ram turned it off and on twice... now it boots? is there a ghost in my PC or the f*ck. this things a headache. work on this $2000 chunk more than my Dirt bike. what would cause this?
  2. Yo, I've been having issues with my rig the past few months, for a while I thought it was the GPU, five or so members on another post told me to trash my GPU said their prayers and told me better luck; buy a new one. I ended up getting it working again. it was acting shawty for several weeks with random crashes. As it's mainly a Kodi box these days I've been just using onboard. alas a new problem arrives. today I got home and was playing with my new shin pads (hockey) and took one off and it hit the ground and bumped my computer. The side was off but it just touched the shell on the ground.. my screen froze and boxed up. Roughly 25 large rectangles filled my screen with what was the YouTube video I was watching. now it won't boot any imagine with onboard graphics, DVI or HDMI on 3 different monitors. pulled the CMOS battery and it remains the same sad stage, all fans spinning but no output. id assume mobo toast? This I could agree on. better than a GPU.. never had had any parts die this is my first rig so just confirming glad I spent $450 in new hockey sh*t today. lul.
  3. Fixed. Youtube da man. upon running DDU and removing all old drivers; onboard become enabled; so I disabled them via Device Manager; shut down the rig; reinserted card; and here I am. Ya'll tried scarin' me.
  4. same effect; powers up but no signal via either display port or hdmi. rip.
  5. is inseating the same as resitting? aka different slot. if so, ive used both.
  6. I've done it 5 times, in two different slots.
  7. 4u [again] hence the 'powers up' statement.
  8. Hello, second post on this topic. My r9 390 has been having a rough time, it was strong for nearly two years but recently started losing signal. [at random times] Today it wouldnt even try to put a signal, it powers up, lights up and spins. I used DDU to remove all traces of it to try a fresh install, but after I did that I couldn't reinstall any AMD drivers as it gives me Error 173: "No AMD software detected." using onboard graphics now. halp.
  9. nearly two years old, ordered 11/2/15. I'd have to guess out of warranty.
  10. All at once, if I have 1, 2 or 3 hooked up. Music I have playing will continue to work and play, but all visuals crash.
  11. Hello, this is my first time back on the site in I'd say a year or so; if not more. At any rate; I'm tired of gravedigging old topics from every thread online, so here I am. Issue: My monitors have recently been losing signal from my R9 390; Things I've tried to combat it via Google. Checking for 'loose' RAM Reinstalling drivers Monitoring heat via AMDs software [idles mid 50C at peak benchmarks it tops at 78C] -------However this crash will happen at random times, sometimes at idle, sometimes under load. I am trying to run two ASUS VG248QE 24", along with an LG 55" 720p TV. I was recently thinking it was perhaps a power supply issue. However; I recall when I first built this rig it would run Kodi, on the TV in another room while I played games. Exactly as I have done now. --I wouldn't put a thousand dollars on it, but, I would put two dollars on a situation I recall being; It would also do this while hardly under load watching some random Kodi stream at night with the other two monitors shut off. .......Soooo.... I'd guess my efforts would be best placed towards gutting my software..? Ye? Comments, questions, and obvious Derps appreciated. Powersupply //////SeaSonic SSR-650RM 650W
  12. Hello buddy and welcome!
  13. One rig has a i5 sky lake and a r390 non overclocked. the other has a Msi 290x and AMD 6300 OCd to 4.2
  14. Hello, my landlord had called me yesterday and asked if I were growing weed as my powerbill had went up 90 bucks and some change. I forget how long I had been folding on my two rigs... so I was thinking it was that. I've been running them both 24/7 on full setting. One has a 650 Watt supply and the other is a 850 Watt Supply. The power rate is 10.08¢/kW At 1500 combined watts, this is 36,000 Watts a day and 1,080,000 Watts a month. Drop it down to KiloWatts this is 1,080kW and this would amount to... $108? a month? Surely PSUs don't run at %100 efficiency as nothing does. Did my landlord mistake my two folding rigs for a grow? Is this the issue?
