  1. Would connecting it to my radiator with alligator clips be enough? It has at least stopped the sparks
  2. There could be quite a lot of static build up, as I've just been told by the janitor that the only grounded sockets (or plugs, not sure as English isn't my first language) are in the kitchen In other words I've got a pc, monitor, tv and two Playstations that aren't grounded, at least from my basic understanding of it
  3. So I've run into an odd problem with my system: my case is very statically charged, so much that it actually sparks if I miss the hole while trying to plug in an HDMI cable I believe it's caused by my psu not having the proper ground on the power cable I'll obviously have to get a new cable, but does anyone have a quick way to discharge the case?
  4. So I'll be upgrading my graphics card to an R9 390 next month, and I was wondering if I could leave my old GTX 560 Ti in there and just switch between them by moving the cable to the monitor between them, or something like that My reason for wanting that is the I want the R9 for gaming, but I'm also doing a lot of 3D modelling and animation using Blender 3D I've been told that Blender's OpenCL setting (the setting for using AMD graphics cards) is unreliable and I should always use the CUDA setting (the setting for Nvidia cards) if possible Btw, the 560 Ti is fine for rendering, giving me a frame in about 0.7 seconds
  5. So, I'm looking to upgrade my PC and I'd like some help/advice I'm happy with the performance of it, and I wanna make it quieter. The main problem is that my current case only seems to have space for one fan, so I will probably get a new one along with a couple of low rotation fans which I hope will make it super quiet (it's not super noisy, but I don't like the background noise it makes) I'm not doing any overclocking Any help, advice and product recommendations are appreciated
