I probaly will keep my current one for my ps4 and get a 1440p when i do finally decide to upgrade my gpu. As far as the water goes, i was going to water cool the gpu with something from ekwb. But like i said, i'm not sure how to set it all up yet.

Thanks for the suggestions. My 390x is actually the LE (lite edition) and it doesn't overclock very good to my knowledge. Honestly I'm kinda wanting to see what Nvidia has to offer with their cards and if so, i was going to go with the 1070.

I was definitely thinking about more RAM. Actually, i just recently purchased that monitor haha. I chose that one because of the ips screen and the relatively low gtg response time. I know 60hz kinda sucks but i use the same monitor for my ps4 and it only supports up to 60hz, unless i am wrong.

Hello all! I built my first rig in November of last year and since there are new gpu's out and prices have went down on various parts, I was thinking about upgrading. The first thing upgrade i was thinking about is going from a 390x to a 1070 or 1080. If i did end up doing that, I was wondering if it would be worth it to upgrade my cpu or get a newer motherboard with more features? Okay so I've been trying to search for this but I don't know the right thing to ask. I have an msi r9 390x LE (lite edition). I purchased it for my first build last year in November. I went went with msi because I've heard good things about that brand and their gpu's but I have a question regarding aftermarket gpu's. what's the difference in all the brands and names? I know that there's differences in fan designs and cooling methods but when one brand, say EVGA, has 3 different versions of the same card, it gets confusing. I've seen the rog strix, the kingpin, ftw, classified, sc, and hybrid to name a few. How do you sort these out and what do you need to take into consideration when purchasing?

I have this same problem with my recently built system and have posted before about this problem, but never found a solution. I have disabled W.O.L., cleared CMOS, and disabled the default hibernate shutdown option. My pc turns on by itself after shutdown usually after about 5 minutes, but sometimes longer. I was going to contact support but I'm not sure which one to contact lol. Could this be a software(Microsoft) issue or a hardware issue? true I can do that. It's just irritating that it's not working as expected and that it's still a mystery.

i have been reading all night about this problem. Some people have solved it by disabling wol, others by clearing cmos, disabling erp in bios, and enabling deep sleep in S5. However, I've tried all of those methods except disabling erp (my asrock fatality h97 doesn't have this feature) but nothing seems to work at the moment.

well It lasted for about an hour then it turned on again. Ugh idk.

damn this is frustrating. i dont think any wires are touching as far as i can see. i dont know what else could be causing this.

will it matter if i have the lite version of the card? Also my bios is the same version as the download.

I've never flashed any cards but I've seen the option in bios. Is it pretty straight forward?
