    I've started trying to put a balm for soothing cracked pads/nose on Dink's, I can get the 2 front paws done before she's bored/had enough... it's non-toxic/not tested on animals etc, and it can actually heal it too (or so it claims). I'll let you know if it works.

Dinky was only 2Kg, so around 4.4 pounds when we brought her home at 8 weeks She's now 28Kg and 1 year old, a bit overweight for her height and build, but she's getting more walks and exercise now, and a bit less food. She's still cute though. This is Dink, with Charlie a few weeks back.

    Personally, I prefer a 240mm rad, mainly because you'll get better cooling even with just push or pull, instead of both, and can cool at a much lower fan speed, so less noise.

    Actually, now you mentioned it, Authy backs up too, so should be able to be restored... and I just had a quick look, and you can enable multi-device, so might have to check that out and if available, register my backup phone. That would definitely make my life less sucky in the event of the worst happening.

    Yeah, me too TBH, though I was less concerned with ram speed back then. I still have some ddr3 2400Mhz, it's in my 4670k's board that's unused currently... IIRC it's Kingston savage, or fury? Wasn't expensive though, unless compared to today's prices for DDR4.

    Yeah, these are extremely easy to spot sometimes... almost laughable for techie people such as us. The only problem is they catch the non-techie crowd, which includes the elderly and others, that it makes it worthwhile to them to do it I say over and over again to my mum that she should NEVER respond, including calling any numbers to any mail she gets, and not to give out any details in phone-calls that call you etc... luckily she doesn't have emails etc, they all go through my account, so at least that part's covered.

    That would be a nightmare for me... it'd mean I have to interact with people with more than a grunt for a while j/k But seriously would mean a BIG pain in the arse, would have to dig out my codes for logging in on quite a few places, and re-doing all the 2FA when I get the new phone etc. Plus, no online banking, and having to re-do all that too.... It could be mitigated by unlocking the bootloader etc and having a TWRP backup, BUT that'd mean I have to re-do all of that a LOT sooner maybe, so it's a toss-up ATM which would be best ?

    NVME over SATA m.2 really only makes sense if the cost isn't much more... or you can make use of the extra speed for things like video editing etc. If it's just for gaming then a SATA m.2 is the way to go most of the time.

    Try a different cable too. Is the PC trying to POST, or not turning on at all? If it's giving you nothing, check the power cables etc. It's a bigger issue than GPU output.

    Well, this is the question, do you want to run the NAS 24/7 and just access windows infrequently, but concurrently? This is complicated by the fact that you have low RAM and only a dual core CPU... it would not be a pleasant experience most of the time IMO. If however you don't need them to run concurrently, then you could dual boot, basically just by installing a small SSD to run windows on. So you'd basically unplug the USB that freenas runs off, and boot into the SSD for windows. You will NOT however be able to access the data on the freenas HDDs. Then when you're done, plug the USB back in and restart the machine. You might have to F11 and select boot device each time you swap. [edit] I think @Windows7ge's way is better personally.

    The UK has never had holidays/vacation for parents in the summer, while the kids have approx 6 weeks. Employers do have to give vacation time for everyone, BUT it has nothing to do with kids vacation times. If you are very lucky you might be able to book time at your employers to spend time with your kids while they are on vacation, BUT it's usually a limited amount of people and for a limited time, because the employers obviously need to keep the business running.

    Yeah. it's very common apparently. Nobody knows what causes it, but some of the symptoms fit perfectly... I have known people to pay hundreds or even thousands for tests to see what's wrong with their dog, and then end up with this diagnosis. I knew it was from previously watching it, but it hit me hard this time because of losing Henry last year ?
