Dude, it's not proprietary, the newer ones use mini Displayport and the older ones use DVI-D, unless she has the thunderbolt version, in that case, I don't know, probably DP over Thunderbolt.
EDIT: Oh, she has the version with Apple Display Connector. Maybe you could find one on ebay.

So basically they’re selling a sports car with a free poster for 206ETH.  No idea what that comes out to.  Tends to change minute by minute though.  I got a nasty suspicion the price is real high.  Afaik NFTs are worth near zero atm.  Looks like a marker rendering which is one of the quickest media there is. Even then that number might be low though. It would be about right if it was 1990.

    Summary
Chevy’s first foray into non-fungible tokens was a dud. The automaker netted zero bids for its first NFT during an auction last month, (which should be noted: started at 206ETH (looking at you verge)) even though the digital drawing came with a free 2023 Corvette Z06, according to Corvette Blogger.

    My thoughts
Well, It appears no one was willing to pay~$250K for an image and a car. This shouldn't really cause much of issue to Chevrolet seeing as the car isn't even built yet and as for the art, they either paid the guy something around a 100-150USD or a percentage of the NFT sales, both of which would probably be a drop in the bucket. Also, I don't think anyone should really be surprised seeing as this came after interest had waned to a significant degree. I'd wager this to be a case of bad timing and of a bad minimum bid because if it had happened during the crypto hype period, this might have sold barring the high price of entry.

matrix07012 reacted to Dracarris in nVidia wants to buy less Wafers
FFS just flood the market with ample GPUs and sell them at a reasonable price where everyone involved makes some profit. I am so sick and tired of this availability disaster where apparently companies intentionally mess with supply-and-demand for their own ridiculous profits. GPUs first and now oil. The skyrocketing prices have nothing to do with there actually being not enough oil available, same goes for wheat.

matrix07012 reacted to Rauten in nVidia wants to buy less Wafers
    Summary
According to a DigiTimes article, due to the ongoing Crypto-debacle, nVidia is trying to back down from some of it's pre-allocated and pre-paid TSMC 5nm wafers - but TSMC is having none of it, demanding that they either eat their wafers (though they may still choose their favourite topping) or find them a replacement customer for those orders.

    HAH-HAH-HAH!
So they claimed they weren't selling to crypto miners, but created hardware specifically for crypto, were sued by stakeholders for finagling their crypto sales numbers, and now this.
Personally, as someone with no real investment or interest in anything crypto, good - the more it all burns down, the better.

AMD is pointed as a potential replacement customer, but as "the most reasonable option", not as a "talks are in place".
On one hand, I hope nVidia fails to find a replacement and has to eat the loss -- only way such huge companies learn is by hurting their bottom lines.
On the other hand, if AMD has more Zen4 wafers, it not only could help with availability, but also maybe with price? At least in the sense of avoiding shortages and preventing a price creep // scalpers.

I never learned programing in school, only HTML slightly and my hardware lessons were: this is a CPU, this is a motherboard and this is a PCI USB 1 card. Teacher only showed us old hardware. The motherboard that the teacher showed us had AGP, PATA and a serial port. This is a whole year in a nutshell.

matrix07012 reacted to DrMacintosh in Microsoft makes TPM issue worse: TPM 1.2 is actually NOT acceptable
Why the hell is this announcement so convoluted? The PC Health Check tool will tell you you can't run Windows 11 without telling you why. In order to enable TPM users have had to dig around in their BIOS to see if their CPU can do the TPM functionality or see if their motherboards have a TPM module/header. If their CPUs don't have that ability ppl now have to buy scalped TPM modules or buy new computers just to run Windows 11.

Microsoft claimed that the majority of computers will be able to run Windows 11, but with the ever changing TPM requirements.....not looking like that's going to be true.

IoT is a solution looking for a problem that doesn't exist. Or more cynically, it's an answer to the question "how do I turn literally everything into a subscription service".

My advice to you, person reading this:
    1) If at all possible, do not buy IoT furniture or appliances unless they are completely open source.
    2) If you have no alternatives, go for the one that can function without an internet connection and never connect it to the internet.
