Normally I would say to clear the BD PROCHOT box on the main screen and your computer will instantly start running at full speed.
 
The problem with 12th Gen motherboards is many of them are locking this feature. ThrottleStop shows that the BD PROCHOT setting is grayed out so you cannot disable BD PROCHOT. 
 
If MSI does not fix this with a BIOS update then you will need to replace the motherboard.
 
This has been a common MSI issue for 10 years now. Frustrating that you can no longer use ThrottleStop to fix this issue.
 
Check your board for a LN2 switch. This used to be the source of these problems. If you find this switch, toggle it back and forth 101 times to clean it and make sure it is in the correct position. 
 
A sensor somewhere on your motherboard has failed. This is what is sending false throttling messages to the CPU via the BD PROCHOT signal path.

It is throttling, just not thermal throttling. Run ThrottleStop 9.4.3 and open up Limit Reasons to find out the reason  why. With MSI boards it is either power limit throttling, PL1 or PL2, or it might be BD PROCHOT throttling. 
 
Are you running any MSI control software? Post some screenshots of ThrottleStop and I will show you how to solve this throttling problem. 

Unfortunately. I've tried combos of devices plugged only into a hub, split between the hub and PC, etc.
Just updated the BIOS and that didn't help either. I'm gonna wipe it here soon when I upgrade to Win11 and see if that makes a difference.

WOW! Just delidded again and put more liquid metal on (definitely didn't have enough) and temps are down to 45c under load! So much better!!! Thank you!

Ah, yes the thermal paste replacement under the lid should definitely improve temperatures significantly. Maybe try re-applying it while following a guide on Youtube?

Hey everyone, I am new to this site and thought I'd share a wall mounted build I completed last year. These 3 PCs (36cores) work together to render out images. I am currently replacing my oldest rig (my main) with a 7980xe build to make 48 cores total.

The (Edit: 2nd latest) latest Windows 10 Creators Update has support for multiple USB partitions.
 
If you only see one 8GB partition on the drive in Windows Disk Management, then it must be that capacity.

It's coming up as two drive letters because there are two partitions on it. Run the clean command in diskpart and repartition it. It'll be the proper capacity.

No, something hidden is taking it all up. Do you have any VM's running? Go to the Details tab in task manager, sort it there. List the top few.

Nope, it'll add new necessary drivers. I have an SSD that I use specifically for hardware testing of computers. It's been through probably 100 different hardware configs with no noticeable problems yet.

Don't try defragging that drive until you've tested it for errors. If it is failing, that will likely kill it
 

You lost about 5% single core performance with Ryzen. Definitely not 100 FPS worth. Anyone saying it's a "downgrade" is an Intel fanboy or a simpleton.
Monitor CPU and GPU load (individual cores is helpful) during games and check back.

An asus thing. I do it everytime I build a ryzen system. 

I would suggest an i9-7980XE, 2 1080Ti's in SLI, 128GB of DDR4, and an 80GB 5400RPM Toshiba Mechanical Hard Drive.
