Dhrubo_Vpirate reacted to Starelementpoke in Choosing optical drive......
Seriously, the cheapest blu-ray supporting Dvd writer/reader from a reputable company will be fine. It´s a dvd writer/reader, they don´t vary that much.

Just find one that says it supports blue ray and you should be fine.

Dhrubo_Vpirate reacted to TheRandomness in New value build
No matter what 980Ti, it won't run 4k without 2 of them.

The problem with SLI/Crossfire is that it produces little stutters in the game and tends to be less stable. Also, the 980Ti is more powerful than a single 390x. I'd recommend going with a 1440p monitor instead of 4k.

Yay nvidia fan...
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/CxhbJx - 4k gaming isn't worth it atm as you basically have to spend a lot on the cards.

If OP is an AMD fanboy. Also, HDD storage is still very good and should be required but that can easily be replaced with a 1TB SSD if needed. Also, no need for so much power, even with SLI 390xs

save some cash and get a single 980 ti, not all games support 2 amd GPUs but all games support the full power of the 980 ti. AND if you want you could always add another 980 ti in the future

You're not gonna get a hard drive?
Looks really good.

Dhrubo_Vpirate reacted to AlTech in Call of Duty Black OPS 3 GFX settings
Black OPS 3 has the same minimum requirements as Advanced warfare which means that to have a pleasant experience in Black Ops 3. You'll probably need a GTX 760 or better. Something that the R9 270X is not. So assuming that both games will perform similarly then look at this graph right here for single player. Multi player very much depends on internet connection.

Dhrubo_Vpirate reacted to Castdeath97 in MSI R9 270X Gaming 4G vs MSI GTX 960 Gaming 4G
The R9 380 is the AMD card to compare. If the r9 380 4GB is around the same price as the 960 4GB get it it will outperform it.
