Updated first post to add that they do not show up in bios. Also yes as stated I've checked the other sata ports, they do work with the SSD but not HDDs.

So a friend had an HDD fail so he got a single SSD which works fine for him. He finally got around to getting a mechanical hard drive as a game drive, now he's trying to get it up and running and for the life of me no hard drive will show up. HDDs will not show up in BIOS. As of right now we have tried the following... 4 separate sata data cables 4 sata power cables 4 sata ports 1 Personal (100% working) Hard Drive 1 New in box hard drive I've cleared Cmos/reset mobo, downloaded drivers, checked the drive format, confirmed all sata ports/cables work. The motherboard is an H110M-A from Gigabyte I'm at my wits end figuring this out, send help.
