AbstractView reacted to Coaxialgamer in Coffee Lake GPU
If you're referring to the igpu being used over the dgpu , then that's not a problem on desktops . you just plug your video cable in the gpu you want to use .
But keep in mind coffeelake is basically unavailable everywhere.

AbstractView reacted to Ashley MLP Fangirl in Mozilla funding ANTIFA?
oh okay.
i disagree with antifa, but still, i would oppose giving money to any activists, as a non-profit organization. if they have money left over, it would be better spent on cancer research or something.

AbstractView reacted to captain_to_fire in Does Apple throttle performance for old iPhones? Futuremark settles the question
Source: Futuremark via ZDNet
Tests are based from 3DMark Sling Shot Extreme Graphics test for both iOS and Android.
So what causes the alleged performance degradation? Futuremark says that:
I would say that my iPad Air from 2013 doesn't run as smooth as before with iOS 7. But it only shows that it's more of a hardware issue rather than the common conspiracy theory that Apple is throttling performance. I attest though that iOS 11 is perhaps the buggiest iOS release just yet and I hated it more than iOS 7 when it was released. A lot of these older devices especially the iPhone 5s and the iPad Air only have a paltry 1 GB of RAM and it only shows that iOS has became more and more beefier as years go by not to mention a lot of these older devices start at 16 GB as base model. But then Apple is known for keeping devices updated, something that a lot of Android OEMs can't touch. But most of the performance penalties on older iPhones is because of iOS bugs especially iOS 11.0.2.

AbstractView reacted to Gawron10001 in Dumb question.... maybe
It is okey, you cannot connect it wrong beacuse there is only one way to connect it even tho fan is 3 pin and mobo 4
It look like this. You just can't plug it wrong
-
AbstractView reacted to BlueChinchillaEatingDorito in Dumb question.... maybe
The difference between a 4-pin and 3-pin fan is that the 3 pin is not PWM controlled. You can just plug the 3-pin fan connectors to the 4-pin header without any issues. You just won't have the luxury of controlling fan speeds with PWM.
With the two pin header, I would assume it's the same but don't quote me on that. Never encountered a situation where I had to use a 2-pin... except in the dinosaur Pentium 3 and earlier days.

AbstractView reacted to Hiitchy in Possible to replace laptop screen "film"?
There are videos on YouTube on how to replace this, but you're better off bringing it to a professional. Most of the time they're placed on heated tables, or they have heat guns that separate the glue between the LCD screen and the filter. I would never recommend doing this by yourself unless you want to do it to learn and don't really care about your laptop which I'm sure you do.

AbstractView reacted to Lurick in CompTIA Network+
Yah, CCENT is like a CompTIA cert in terms of difficulty but it's a nice gateway for the CCNA since I think CCENT 1 and 2 count as the first half of the CCNA.
-
AbstractView reacted to Lurick in CompTIA Network+
CompTIA Cisco cert? No such thing that I'm aware of.
Do you mean the CCENT or CCNA cert?
-
AbstractView got a reaction from Lurick in CompTIA Network+
Damn, my mistake, I meant CCENT cert. Thanks for catching me on that, as a class we refer to it as our Cisco certification.

AbstractView reacted to NinJake in Oneplus 3T screen crack
Can't give ya any input. I'm sure it depends on the severity of the crack. I suggest using a case or being a bit more careful?

AbstractView reacted to RadiatingLight in AntiVirus that you use right now & recommend one free & one payed software that you think is getting the job done these days without being a pain
Windows defender, the one that comes with windows, is the best IMO.
not intrusive, but also good enough that it blocks mostly everything.

AbstractView reacted to RadiatingLight in Watch_Dogs2 Performance Issue
It's ubisoft, what did you expect?
-
AbstractView reacted to Natsoup in Watch_Dogs2 Performance Issue
I have trouble with it on my 1070. It's just shit optimization which is unfortunate becuase it could be so good if the graphics didn't suck so majorly.

AbstractView reacted to PCGuy_5960 in Watch_Dogs2 Performance Issue
Uninstall GPU drivers with DDU and reinstall them
Are you kidding me, this game can push a 6900X to 100% at 1080p It's terribly optimized
-
AbstractView reacted to stealth80 in Watch_Dogs2 Performance Issue
It didn't cap my 4790k, again around 80% that was running 4.7ghz, but (big BUT) I am running 1440P on a 1080, maybe more GPU bound.
Try upping the settings to take the load from the CPU
MY Ryzen is no where near capped so not sure how a 6900k gets killed

AbstractView reacted to 2FA in i3-6100u or i5-6200u?
Pretty much the only difference is about 400Mhz.

AbstractView reacted to YoloSwag in i3-6100u or i5-6200u?
Go for the i5, even if you say you're just gonna do some light work, it's not gonna hurt getting the better part.
You don't want to realize some day that you could have got an i5 for only $50 more. It's a laptop, you can't really change much after you buy it so I say get the i5. They're both dual core as per the website but bragging rights brah
-
AbstractView reacted to YoloSwag in i3-6100u or i5-6200u?
Sorry guys I forgot these were laptop parts and some i5s are really dual cores. I edited my post but your replies were too fast
But still, go for the i5!
-
AbstractView reacted to m0k in i3-6100u or i5-6200u?
i5 6200u for sure
it has a much higher boost clock,
-
AbstractView reacted to YoloSwag in i3-6100u or i5-6200u?
It won't hurt.
When it comes to games, even that tiny 1-5fps can make all the difference of a game being playable. I think it applies here even if you don't game as rendering times and responsiveness can make a difference to one's creativity and flow.
