It's like that prick who hoarded all the hand sanitizer just to try to scalp it online, then got banned by eBay and Amazon and got guilt tripped into giving it away. (Just to clarify, I don't look at the RTX 3080 as being on an equal level of importance as an actual life-saving item.

I was one of the people this morning fighting at the chance to get an RTX 3080. Had I lost out honestly to other people who wanted to buy the card to game on, I could accept that and move on. But what pisses me off so much is that they're just the shittiest lot of unapologetic sweaty fucks who resorted to using unfair and scummy tactics to get their hands on way too many cards, just to resell them at exorbitant prices. I hope more people fuck with them on eBay, they deserve only that.

Aye indeed, its not costing them money, its costing them the time and possibly stress of re posting them.

If enough people run the bots for long enough, these fkers will never sell the cards. At least until stocks are high enough that people dont need to go to ebay to get one, at which point the 'scalpers' will be out of pocket as they will be forced to sell them at a loss just to get rid of them.

I get your point but I wouldn't compare someone restricting access to something that can save lives during a pandemic to someone hoarding a piece of gaming hardware.

Good. It's what they deserve, assholes. If you want a cool graphic card to play games on, great, buy one. If you're buying one just to inflate the price and sell them to gamers who want them, go eat s**t. These are the same idiots who were hoarding toilet paper in the beginnings of coronavirus. Exact same assholes.

    Summary
It seems some consumers have had enough with scalpers on eBay lately, with reports of people heavily overbidding on 3080 listings and not paying to cost scalpers eBay fees and other inconveniences.

Oh god, this is great. Pure popcorn level chaos. Hats off to the madlads risking their existing ebay accounts, ebay fees, and unlikely, but possible, legal action. I salute you and your chaotic goodness.

The card will function in your setup just fine. As for playing games at 4K60 it's going to depend on the game, but most games become more GPU-bound as resolution increases anyways. The 5930K is still a reasonably capable chip despite its' age (so long as you overclock it a bit, it is still 22nm Intel after all.)

TheSLSAMG reacted to Ryan Leech in Chile Rig - AMD FX in 2020
When I moved to Chile two years ago I was unable to bring my other rigs from the US and as such I had to build a new daily driver from components sourced locally. I decided to go with FX because my place doesn't have heating and it gets cold in the winter, and because I like overclocking. Over the last two years I've changed out components whenever I found anything better, like going from a 600W Corsair non 80+ unit to a 1000W EVGA Supernova P2 and from a GTX 760 to an RX 480.

    My current specs:
    AMD FX 9590 (sometimes)
    Asus Crosshair V Forumla-Z 990FX AM3+
    G Skill 16GB DDR3 2400MHz CL10 (F3-2400C10D-16GTX)
    MSI RX 480 4GB
    Samsung 850 Evo
    EVGA Supernova P2 1000W
    Cooler Master 240mm AiO
    NZXT H500 White
I use this machine to do some overclocking in my free time, but nothing too crazy due to the 240mm AiO. I have a few FX chips that I've recovered from the electronics recycler which I try to take as high as I can with the AiO. In my collection I have an FX-4100, 4130, 4350, 6120, 6350, 8320, 8350, 9590 plus a Phenom 1090T. I've done some experimenting and even got the memory up to 2600MHz CL10 with an FX-6350 at 5.3GHz, which is impressive for an FX chip imo.

Here we see an FX-6350 at 5.3GHz with 2600MHz DDR3 in Cinebench R15 scoring 642, which took 6th place worldwide on HWBOT

These days It's easy to spend a lot of time overclocking given that there isn't much else to do. I'll be building up my collection of AM3 and AM3+ chips, stay tuned.
