The RTX card pricing is really unprecedented, especially the RTX 2080. The GTX 580 and 680 launched at $500, the 780 was an outlier at $650, but the price was dropped five months later to $500 when the 780 TI came out. Both the GTX 980 and 1080 launched at $550. $800 makes it so expensive, it even breaks out of what was traditionally the Ti price bracket,

For that much money, these cards better leave the old cards in the dust (even in titles that don't utilize ray tracing.)
