Oh yea, that's part of why I was looking into the monoblock idea. I mean i realize thats the most expensive overkill solution I could go for, but it's also aesthetic i guess. xD

Although not by choice, my girlfriend and I have been living mostly nomadically for the last several years: moving across the country, and from apartment to apartment every couple months, and only being able to bring with us a couple suitcases each. My girlfriends laptop recently died, so I set out to build her a replacement. The goal for the replacement was that it could easily be packed into a suitcase or backpack at a moments notice, and be powerful enough to run the few games my gf plays (fallout 4, world of warcraft, minecraft, etc...). One might ask why I didn't just buy another laptop. After all isn't that exactly what a laptop is for? The primary reason were avoiding laptops is they really can't be upgraded, and I can't typically repair them myself, or replace a dead part when needed like I can a desktop.

    Parts List:
Case: M350 Universal Mini-ITX PC Enclosure PSU: RGEEK 24pin DC ATX PSU 12V DC Input 250W Ram: OLOy DDR4 RAM 8GB (1x8GB) 2666 MHz Mobo: GIGABYTE B450 I AORUS PRO WIFI CPU: AMD Athlon 3000G CPU Cooler: SilverStone Technology Low Profile 95W Storage: 256gb M.2 SSD, 256gb 2.5" ssd (Both salvaged from original laptop) I figured people might be interested in the build log, as it incorporates some rather unusual hardware, like the Pico Style power supply, and what might be the tiniest ITX case available. I've ordered a Nexdock to go with this, so that it can function as the monitor, keyboard, and mouse. So you do have to consider that on-the-go your packing up a DC power brick, and a Nexdock together with it, but that will still easily fit in a suitcase, and can be setup again later nearly anywhere. It's a small added inconvenience, but well worth it for the repair and upgradability that the setup provides for us.
(Note: The silverstone cooler hasn't arrived yet, thats why you see the stock cooler in the pics. I will update you guys when it gets here.)

Do to some unexpected delays I just got most of the parts today. This project has not been abandoned as you can see. The case and power supply will be arriving in the coming days.

Asetek makes the coolers for NZXT, so this ring works on the NZXT cooler

Yes, I've been asked that before. I am %100 sure I am running 64bit windows. I have multiple reasons to be certain that this is the case:
    1. I installed 64bit professional.
    2. In system under control panel, it says "64-bit Operating System, x84- based processor"
    3. 32bit windows has a maximum of 4gb, yet I currently have 7.97GB available out of the 16gb installed.

Yea, I was a bit spooked bout the psu as well, but the more I thought about it I kinda doubt its the problem. Its a good psu, I've had no problems with it before, and the power problem only occurs with my motherboard.

Yea, its strange... Its weird af, ruin your whole day, and send you into panic mode kind of strange... But seeing as I can now add your name to the long list of people who I've explained my problem to and don't have the faintest idea how to fix it, I'm even more certain I need to get rid of this cursed motherboard before it ends up messing up my other components...

Update the boot order in your bios.

Boot into your bios by usually pressing the esc key when powering on your PC.

The USB something should be first, before your hard drive or ssd.

Regarding whether Nanos or Titan X... As I see it, you'd save a lot more by selling the Titan X and get 2 nanos. But otherwise, the second Titan X is the way to go for sheer performance, and the dual Nanos is the way to go for lower consumption. I'd would be more going for the Titans since the Nanos are probably going to get bottlenecked by their 4gb Vram in the near future during 1440p gaming, since games demand more and more VRAM, and Crossfire and SLI don't stack that (yet)

Now, as  @othertomperson pointed out, wait for the next gen.

And where the heck do you work at to get all those free GPUs ???

I'd probably go with the 120gb Adata SP550, it uses TLC flash, which doesn't have quite as good endurance as MLC flash, but it should still easily last 500TB+ of writes. Or the 120gb Adata XPG SX930 and getting MLC flash.

Star Trek Online - Looked absolutely beautiful, space combat mechanics were superb, but "away team missions" that fell back into the same old MMO pitfalls killed it. I understand when I shoot fire at a bunch of murlocs on one side of a room in WoW, the murlocs on the other side might not be bright enough to see what's going on, but you want me to believe that the group of Klingons on the other side of the room didn't notice me throwing a plasma grenade and "phasers on kill"ing their buddy?

Spore, not sure if anyone remembers this one, but it was a game where you could evolve a lifeform from a cell to a creature, tribe, civilization, then galactic empire. It had some really cool features, and overall I did enjoy the level of freedom and creativity it allowed, but it seems the developers bit off more than they could chew. It was like making 5 games in 1, and unfortunately each of the 5 parts felt somewhat lacking.

Ok, the 4u chassis came in today. I finished installing my components inside, but I still have a lot of cable management that I'll be doing tomorrow.(I'm to tired to deal with it tonight) Everything fit inside great, with the exception of my AIO cooler. As for the AIO cooler, I have good news and bad news. After I bought it and the chassis I did the math and realized the tubing wasn't long enough to reach where I planned to mount the radiator. It doesn't the way I have it mounted on the cpu, but the good news is its only off by about an inch. If I flip the cooler around on the cpu 180 degrees it should give me just enough length to mount the radiator! I will be doing that tomorrow as well. Heres some pics:

I know its a complete mess lol. Like I said, cable management is something I will be doing tomorrow. Besides, Luke told me its okay.

I feel like when I go to press a key, I often miss a keypress on a rubber dome because I need to make it all the way down, whereas a mechanical switch does not need to bottom out. I tested myself on a rubber dome and MX browns and I increased my WPM to 60 from 50 with 100% accuracy
