  • Biography
Hello, world! My name's Adam. I live in the US; I won't say where.

Not much to say, really. I'm just a little shit that loves to have fun. Also, I'm apparently super sassy.

UPDATE1: I'm not upgrading my main monitors until I see excellent, cheap AdaptiveSync 16:9 1440p VA/IPS panels (refreshing at 144Hz+ and responding at <5Ms) and AdaptiveSync 21:9 1440p VA/IPS panels (refreshing at 100Hz+ and responding at <5ms) on the market.

UPDATE2: I will definitely be upgrading my AMD GPUs next generation; I am so pumped for AMD's next gen with HBM2 and full support for Vulkan/DX12. The architecture of the AMD Fury X is definitely built for the future and is far more advanced than Nvidia's architecture when it comes to compute. However, I am so disappointed that AMD does not support HDMI 2.0 this generation. I need HDMI 2.0 for my Korean 4K monitor. I have had to settle for 30Hz; and it's killing me slowly. I will possibly move to an AMD CPU next generation, if they compete well enough with Intel's 8-core (or potential 10-core). I don't like the proprietary actions of both Intel and Nvidia at all, as I am actively trying to transition to Linux for all of my computing and gaming, and I will just always be an advocate of freedom even when it comes to software. As of now, I'm waiting for Vulkan to be released and working on all platforms.

UPDATE3: My current laptop is the Msi GS70 Stealth Pro (6th Gen). Loving it! Great laptop. I really want to upgrade to a Clevo/Sager (or something similar), but I wish they would bring an innovative slim design to market as Msi did. The current Clevo/Sager models are too bulky in my opinion for a laptop. I want a mobile battle-station, not a mobile command-station; I already have a fully-operational command-station! But at least the Clevo/Sager models are built extremely well and without any BS. Too many companies (Msi included) put way too much gamer-y BS in their shit, when they should be focusing on quality, reliability, and compatibility. I cannot stress just how much Linux will force innovation and progression in this industry, if we will just all work to adopt it as a standard in all mediums of computing.

  1. I'm digging the design. Now, only if it were an all-steel construction... and maybe were a little bit more minimalist, but I have to give props to Zalman for piquing my interest. Guess I will be keeping Zalman on my radar.
  2. I will always welcome more competition in the anti-BS enthusiast market. As long as they treat what was Func well and only intent to push the envelope further, I'm all for it. Every single one of my peripherals are plug-n-play. I'm typing right now on my Ducky Shine 5 (used to use a Keycool 104 Hero as my daily driver). And I'm using a Zowie FK-2. I'm about to pre-order the Ducky Secret, too. Anybody else looking forward to the Secret?
