what better silicon means is it is able to achieve higher clocks, at the same voltage, or that it is able to achieve higher clocks at all. the voltage is however much you pump into it, you could put whatever voltage you wanted in any processor regardless of silicone quality

Oh yeah, I've heard all the silicon comes from the same factory in the US and only packaging is done in China/Malaysia. My point wasn't where they are from, just wondering which one was better. I've always thought better silicon meant achieving same clock speed at lower voltage but this little test showed that while the Malaysian one had the exact same clock speed but had a higher voltage, literally the opposite of what i thought good silicon was, it performed better than the one that I thought had the better silicon.

I see. Well I guess ASUS pulling an ASUS when the ASUS RoG laptop with an i7 9750H CPU and a 1660Ti only costs $30 more than the ASUS Zenbook with an i7 8565U and a MX 150 GPU.

QRCodeKiller got a reaction from r2724r16 in Asus RTX Strix Advanced vs OC? Whats the difference?
Just wondering if theres is any difference between the Asus Strix RTX 2070 Advanced vs OC other than factory overclock. The OC version is about $30 more and has to be back ordered so it will take a week before I recieve it. Whereas, the Advanced is cheaper and in stock.
So other than factory OC clocks being higher, is there any other differences between them like the OC using TU104 'A' chips and the Advanced version not using them or if Asus binning the chips on the OC further? Because if not, I can just OC the advanced version myself and I dont see why I would pay $30 more.

Tbh, sticking the cord to the back of your monitor with some tape will work fine. Otherwise, you will have to get Zowie Camade (which is currently unavailable for some reason) or Thermaltake Galeru. The Razer mouse bungee will damage your cable as the G502 cable is quite thick. I am using the Galeru personally and i don't see a difference from which i taped my cord on the back of my monitor. The Galeru has enough space in the bungee to fit the G502 cable without damaging it. I have the G502 and G303 and i have tested this.

Out of those list, i would go for the Siberia V2. I wouldn't recommend anything else from Steelseries's new headset line up. V2 was the best and none of the new ones, except the overpriced Siberia Elite Prism could beat it. 2nd option from that list would be the Asus, this is only due to lack of information on the Raptor and crappy headsets made by logitech. ASUS has made some very nice gaming peripherals although they aren't as popular as the main big brands. Their quality is great and is trustworthy. Logitech although make extremely good mice (i only use logitech G303 and G900), they don't make good headsets, they never have. Although the new G633 was decent, it wasn't good either.
I personally would get the Hyper X Cloud's 1/2/Pro over all your options, while my old Siberia V2 frost blue has been amazing for the 2/3 years i used it before it broke, the Hyper X Clouds are better, in both sound quality and comfort.

I have never used the CM Storm Devastator mouse but i'm pretty confident it will be perfectly fine. They are using Omron switches, i don't know how light your mouse switches are but the buttons are perfectly fine, if anything, they will probably be on the lighter side, but not as light as the razer deathadder 2013. They will also probably feel much better than your current mouse and it is a definitely good upgrade

QRCodeKiller got a reaction from GreezyJeezy in what's the best keyboard for gaming
Personally, i think Ducky keyboards are the best, but unfortunately some of their keyboards do have RGB LED but isn't customizable, just preset lighting. If you want a customizable lighting, then i would recommend Corsair Strafe or K70/K65. Both are good. As for switches, I'm a major cherry fan boy and will only use cherry switches. Although my favourite switches are Blues there are too many issues with them and Red's will be the best for gaming (you could get the Cherry MX Speeds that are on the K70 exclusively).
As for mouse, that depends on your handsize and the type of game you play. If you play CSGO, then i would recommend the Zowie FK or EC series or Finalmouse. If anything else, mouse performance isn't as greatly needed, so Mionix Castor, Razer Deathadder Chroma, or if you still want performance Logitech G303 or G502. G303 is lighter and has the best mouse clicks ever, and while G502 is great its just too heavy for me but that might be your preferred option.
