  1. Bugger......guess I'll have to go buy an infrared thermometer and measure it off the rear pcb
  2. I'm doing a bit of benchmarking ready for when I wc my gpu next week for a before/after comparison. For the life of me I can't seem to find vrm monitoring features for a reference 980ti anywhere. I have Aida64 extreme, gpuz and hwinfo (all of which should have the feature to monitor the vrm). I have read that the reference 980ti didn't have this feature? My card is also a v1, so if it was added later, I don't have it.
  3. Hey all I'm currently transferring some data onto my SSD via a dock (rated "Super Speed"), but noticed my max read and write speeds are around 205mbps (ATTO and CrystalDisk confirmed). I've downloaded the relevant USB drivers and even tried different docks/ SSD/ thumb drive/ motherboard combination and I'm still being limited to ~200mbps. What am I missing? I'm ruling out external hardware as each drive hit the same maximum, so I'm assuming it's driver/ motherboard related. Motherboard in question is a Supermicro C7Z170-SQ (don't ask). I'm not aiming to constantly having the maximum speed, but to know that the board isn't faulty would be nice.
  4. You could do it, it's not easy and would likely leak, but it is possible. I've swapped a few AIO pipes, but it requires boring tools and a tap and die set to create the threads on the rad and pump housing (only possible if the pump housing is big enough). By the time you purchase those tools, it would just be cheaper to buy a brand new custom loop.
  5. I hated my samples. The first 4 didn't have a working cooling shroud and when I could get a working shroud, the card was kaput. In my experience, PowerColor are good on a budget, but if you're looking for a mid-high end card, stick to the trusted manufacturers like Sapphire, ASUS, etc....
  6. The only way I can see this working is by implementing gears (like everyone else has said), so maybe a scrap bike with a 3+7 gear set up. Then you would need to go for more than enough blades to compensate for the lower RPM. Go out and buy a hand whisk, assuming the whisks are sharp enough, maybe that would suffice for a good base to work from?
  7. The 200R is a fairly boring case, I would personally go get it dipped and be done with it unless you want to get the tools out and start properly modding.
  8. Yeah, it doesn't give the best representation haha! Google Sheets is a PITA to use
  9. Hey everyone I appreciate the +1's a lot. I would really like any feedback anyone has towards this? Personally I found it too word heavy, but motherboard reviews generally are compared to say a mouse or keyboard.
  10. As a whole, the brand is quite good, they use reference design PCB and just mount a semi-stylish cooler on. The best bit about them is they put a back plate on most of the cards, I don't know if that's changed with the 300 series, but it was always a talking point when compared to the most expensive, similar performance MSI, Gigabyte, ASUS and Sapphire models. If you want cheap, go for Sapphire IMHO.
  11. I like I just had a look on that website, there doesn't seem to be anywhere to put addresses......does this mean e-gifts such as Steam codes?
  12. Do you want an entire system or just the turntable (a decent turntable will cost about £120)? Also was size vinyls?
  13. Yup all items that can be classed as offensive should be banned IMHO and obviously dangerous items such as knives/ guns/ etc....(unless you live in a country that allows you to post that sort of stuff).
  14. I like the region locked thing, will be easier to coordinate. Can I make a suggestion on the banned items though? I know most of us are pretty decent, but there will likely be one funny person who will send something like "poop in a box" or similar, can we just not I take Lucky Charms, Oreos and Twinkies if an American gets me haha!
